SCOPE OF WORK

Supply of labor, materials, consumables, tools, equipment and technical supervision to complete
the works pertaining to the Supply of Offshore Soil Geotechnical Services for Bacong, Leganes,
Odiongan, Pasacao, BREDCO, Bawing Petron Projects in accordance to Petron Standard
Specifications.

2. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the ff:
a. Number of Boreholes
a.1. Boreholes- Refer to Layout
b. Depth of borehole
b.1. Depth of Borehole shall be minimum 35 meter deep or until refusal into hard rock
(whichever is deeper).
b.2. In excess of 35m, proposed unit price of the contractor will apply per meter.
c. Borehole location
c.1. Borehole Location can be adjusted on site (approximately 3.0 meters maximum in any
direction if accessibility problems do exist.)
c.2. Contractor to locate borehole locations.
d. Mobilization
d.1. Mobilization of vessel to the site, complete with all necessary drilling equipment and
personnel
e. Soil Boring/ Drilling, Rock Core Sampling
f. Undisturbed Sampling
e.1. Obtain undisturbed samples at every change of stratum.
g. Indicate elevations at top of all boreholes based on a fixed datum
h. Standard Penetration Test
g.1. Standard penetration test (SPT) at every 1.0 meter for the six (6) meters, then every 1.5
meters for the succeeding depth or at every change in strata driving by a split spoon sampler.

i. Laboratory Testing
i.1. Visual Classification
i.2. Particle Size Analysis of Soils ASTM D 422
i.3. Laboratory Determination of Moisture Content of Soils ASTM D 2216

i.9. Other Test, as required by foundation Consultant
j. Ground Water Table
j.1. Ground water level shall be reckoned from a fixed datum.
j.2. Water Level on each borehole shall be observed after drilling and 24 hours after
completion of boring
j.3. All data should be recorded in the Field Log of Borehole.
k. The engineer will be required to visit once the drilling has started to confirm findings.
l. Part of engineers recommendations shall deal with the slope stability requirements at the
site, necessity of shoring in excavations, possible settlement problems and intended
solutions, driven piles and bored piles strength capacities if deemed necessary, water stable
evaluation, specific code-prescribed soil and site parameters for the building seismic analysis,
slope protection recommendation, discussion on the provisions for under drains or a pressure
slab design for the slab on grade and suggested drainage solutions.
m. Provide two (2) Unconfined Compression Test (UCT) per borehole.
n. All necessary permits.
3. Deliverables
a. 3 Bounded Hard Copies of Technical report signed by the Geotechnical Engineering
consultant. This should include the following:
a.1. Boring log of each borehole including geotechnical data
a.2. Soil profile indicating blow counts
a.3. Summary of Laboratory Tests Results
a.4. Pictures of Site Condition, Drilling Operations, SPT and Rock Core Samples
a.5. Geotechnical Engineers analysis and recommendation which includes:
a.5.1. Appropriate foundation scheme
a.5.2. Allowable Soil Bearing Capabilities, settlement and allowable pile load capabilities
a.5.3. Liquefaction Potential
a.5.3. Other Geotechnical Engineering Concerns
b. Soft copy of all the data stated in 3.a. and 3.c. saved in a DVD
c. Borehole Layout with coordinates (As built)

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

A. General Conditions
1. The cost shall include mobilization and demobilization expenses.
2. All utilities (power and water) shall be for the contractor’s account.
3. Contractor shall ensure that it complies with all safety requirements of Petron
Corporation.
4. No bids with dollar quotations and/or conditions for increase in bid due to dollar
fluctuations shall be accepted. Bids with said conditions will be disqualified.
5. The contractor for his own account shall obtain permits, performance bond, and
warranty bond which are necessary and may be imposed by city/municipal government.
All permits/receipts of fees paid by the contractor for the completion of the project
shall be turned over to ArchEn Technologies Inc. for proper filing.

B. Other Requirements/Project Notes


Pre-bidding:
1. Contractor shall inquire all necessary details needed to complete the survey prior during
pre-bidding.
2. Contractor shall conduct site inspection if needed to verify actual site conditions.

Project Completion:
1. Once completed, Contractor shall notify the Project Engineer in writing that the project
is already complete and is ready for formal turnover (Notice of Completion).
2. In addition to the required submittals, the following shall be included in the final billing
(100% completion).
a. Geotechnical Survey results (Hard [3 sets] and Soft Copy)
