The inspiration and motivation to success

Interestingly! I understand and learn about who I am as a person and others even more

after the recent concert that I went to. I’m very impressed that only going to a concert to

support our favourite superstars will lead to a conclusion of determined ourselves. One of the

important thing that I learnt from this event is that fame and success take a much longer time

to get than we thought. In fact, there are many things more behind each person’s

achievements. What I really shocked about myself is that I don’t think that I’m going to

support Thai band or superstars that I only knew them for a short time like this. To extended

on this point, in the past, I used to disagree with people around me especially my friends who

always go to K-pop concert and go support them when they have events both in Thailand and

other countries as I think it’s just a waste of time. But, now, I have a clear answered to my

questioned about why most of the Thai’s teenagers so in love with K-pop.

Since the beginning of 2018, 1st January, 4nologue one of a big artists company in

Thailand has announced about forming a boy band or T-pop in Thai of about nine people in

total. Later on, many people came for a tryout, then they finalised the nine members.

Afterwards, all nine needed to practices many skills such as acting, singing, dancing and

many more before the band can become official. During the practising day, all of the members

faced many obstacles with some tough and harsh comments from the owner of a company

which later caused to failure for some of them. As time keeps moving on and on, every single

one of them needed to even try harder in order to become a professional. At that time, it not
perfect yet, but the series that nine of them were involved have to be launched in the next few

months. The first works for them is a series called “In a family trust”. This series is about a

big Thai Chinese family which every member seem to live happily together, but suddenly the

unexpected death of the oldest son in the member, who was shot by other members in the

family. This, later on, became mysterious and everyone has to help each other find a piece of

evidence and figure it out that who killed that man. After this series was out, the feedback

from the fans towards the nine actors that involves in this series were positives, so there was a

special project that formed to be a special gift and thanks for the fan club that support the nine

actors in this series.

After I have been waiting for such a long time, finally! this day is coming.

First of all, as I have mentioned earlier, it was an event of a Thai’s famous celebrities

which about nine of them formed a very exclusive team. According to that, this project is just

only last for one year. Before moving on, I have to tell that there is a name that every member

in the band set up for their fan club named “ Night”. As the band name is “Nine by Nine, so

we as a fan club often called them shortly only “Nine”. As time flies, the project keeps on

going and it nearly comes to an end of this project, so they are going to have a Thailand tour

concert which they will go according to this three regions: Northern, North-eastern and

Southern part. Moreover, after they’ve been to all the city from those regions, they will end

their last destination which is the final concert in Bangkok. The one that I went to was held on

Saturday 2nd February 2019, there was a concert at Korat which is my hometown as well.

This is the first time for “Nine” to perform a big concert in quite a big stage in front of many

fans. Of course, this is not the first the first time for me going to a concert, but it was a day

that very special for me because I went with my best friend, her name is Pag. We both haven’t

seen her for many years. Not only that, but it’s also one of the most memorable and fantastic

concerts that I have been to, so it going to stick inside my heart forever. Just to begin with,
when we arrived at the place where the concert was held; The Mall Korat (MCC Hall), we

both were excited as well as happy to see our favourite actors. For me, I think not only us that

felt nervous, but the performers as well.

Before the concert begins, there were special events, where they will randomly pick

different people from tickets prices in accordance to take a group photo with the band along

with a signed poster, but the lower prices the less chance we got the pick. Surprisingly, I and

my friend got picked for a group photo and signed poster, it makes us felt even more thrilled

because we have more opportunity to see our beloved actors closely. Before going into a

room for shooting a photo, I wish that I could sit with my main member, but I said to my

friend that I think I might not get him. We both just said, “let's see whatever happened, the

fortune is already picked for us”. 30 mins passed, my group was called for a shoot, I slowly

walked into a room and started counting where my main member stands. Luckily, I was

accidentally got a chance to sit in front of him and guess what, I’m the only person that was

lucky because the rest the person they got didn’t satisfy their wants. After the photo was

taken, I started a conversation with him, his name is JamyJames, he is the only person in the

band that I always support and love.

Me: Finally! the day that I have been waiting to see you has already come true; my

voice and my body are shaking.

JamyJames: Wowww! he smiles softly and said, “Thank you very much”.

Me: I waved at him and smile back to him, then I told him that “See you inside the

hall”.

JamyJames: he waved back to me and reply back “See you”, not only that he also told

me that “I like the fan that you hold, it so cute”.

Me: Thank you! with a little smile as well as saying last “Bye bye” to him nicely and

slowly walked outside the room and my face started to turn red.
 During a concert, I can saw many people crying as well as smiling because even

though this is going to be the last concert, but every single member still make their fans happy

every time when we meet them. From that, every work, songs and many other things that

they’ve done, it would still be in our memory even the project is finished. Furthermore, I can

felt the smell of sweet because everyone giving out and shows their love towards the

performers, so it very sweet and charming at the same time. Unexpectedly, the sound in the

concert is kind of mixing between enjoyable and wordless because the concert was very lively

and entertaining, where everyone enjoys singing and dancing along with the band. However,

it wordless as there are no words that can be used to describes everyone’s feelings and

emotions better than our expressions at that moment.

Memorably, after the nine performers finished their last song which was the first song

they launched with a new melody and rhythm. At that time, I and Pag started to cry because

of the time that we have fun and the time that I cherish is going to be done very soon.

Actually, the thing that makes our tears gradually comes out is that when JamyJamess said

that “ I want everyone to have fun and enjoy with our performances today because this is

going to be our last song here”. However, after his speech is done, he also crying as one fan

loudly and clearly said that “No matter what’s happening, the project will continue or not, we

all will always support and love all nine of you”, this, even more, touches me and others

people who were in this concert.

Incredibly, before "Nine" saying goodbye to the fans, the hall immediately turns

black. I and my friend slowly turned our faces to each other and asked each other “What’s

going on?, Is the concert is finished?” NO!, it’s actually not, no longer than 2 mins, the

projector is open which even make me wonder; Why? Oh! it’s the documentary about how

every single one of them became who they are, how they became successful today and many

more. The video is last for about 15 mins. While watching, each member gets to tell their own
failure and how they defeat it. To summarise what everyone’s saying, in terms of singing and

dancing everyone stared at the same level, zero, it’s new to everyone. To get selected to be

involved in this project, each week the owner of the company will score each person from the

ability they shown up when they were assigned to do different tasks. Moreover, they will also

be based on the performances each week that compared with the first time they were called to

cast. At that time, many people were struggles which makes some of them gave up and

doesn’t want to do this project any more. On the other hand, as the project keeps on going, the

fans are also extremely doubled up in comparison when the project first introduced. Within

the video, many questions were asked from the staff, some of them came from the fan club as

well. There were many inspirational answers that inspire me to have more confidence and

dare to do whatever new for me or thing that I haven’t done before. The question asked, “As

you have mentioned that you gave up and it quite a tough time for you guys, so what makes

you decide to move on and continue what you suppose to do right now?”. The answered that

really touch my feeling is that if you were told or asked to do something by someone that is

very new and challenge for you, if you scared to do it or you think you can’t do it, so at the

end you won’t be able to challenge yourself and you won’t know the real abilities that you can

do it or not. Besides, not only yourself that have to believe and trust that we can do it but also

everyone besides you, so for us the people who inspire and motivate us is you who is our

main supporters. They told us that every time every day when they see us come to cheer and

support them, it can fulfil our happiness and it also get rid of our exhaustion. As a result, it

makes me feel that even they are a superstar and they have more works to do than us as a

student, they still keep practising and keep going on no matter how hard it was, so why can’t

we do it. Correspondingly, it makes me change my thinking process toward myself that I

always talk to myself when there are loads of homework, projects and etc in the school that “I

will survive and you can do it Baitoey!”.

 Last but not least, this event is clearly express and depicts myself, to be more precise, I

used to lack confidence when I have to try something that quite difficult and new to me or I

don’t even trust myself that I can overcome those obstacles. Once I went to this concert, it

makes me realise that Nine by Nine really motivate me to have more confident and believe in

myself that I can do it even if it over our abilities. Not just only that, but they also my idol and

my role model of how to become successful, to be more precise in Grade 10 and 11 I failed

Maths class, but after I listened to their speeches, it makes me study harder and pay more

attention in class, and the result is that I got A in Maths class. For me, it not only makes me

proud of myself but I also make my parents and other people who used to look down on me

surprised as well.

Overall, from my point of view, this concert is really impacted and influenced on the

change of my identity a lot, maybe because I love nine of them so much, so from that when

we saw who we loved became successful, we also want to become successful like them as

well.
