Reflection

Throughout the last semester, I’ve learnt many interesting stuffs, but it’s basically
based on reading more. In the last two unit, I’ve read two books which are Persepolis and
Death of a Salesman. However, there are many different things that I’ve learnt and it’s new
to me as well, so there are quite a lot that I’ve enjoyed working, doing and etc. First of all,
I’ve enjoy studying with my classmates as some of them I’ve met in grade 10 and 11, so I’m
quite lucky that I get a chance to study with them again. Moreover, I also get to meet new
people that I have not met before which I can have more friends. Followed by, studying with
Ms.Laurin, to be more precise, she taught me many new experiences that I might or might not
know before as well as she always feel free to help me and my friends during her free time.
I’m very glad that I have her as my last year English class at MUIDS. Not only that, writing
an analysis especially TIQA and final project allows me to develop my writing and critical
thinking skills as well.
Next in order, there are many challenged work for me within the last semester. At
first, the part that really difficult for me is the writing analysis part, it’s true that I have done
this before, but everytime that I have to do it it’s still new to me. To extends, each time that I
have done is from a different book, as it comes to the very end of the year, it’s getting harder
and harder which very challenged me. Interestingly, before I came to this school, I’m very
bad at writing. After I came here, I get an opportunity to practise and develop this skills
which also can be seen from each final project. The work that is really challenged and I put
more effort on is the written memoir project. In my opinion, it’s quite hard for me to find my
identity because I’m always changed and I don’t really know what kind of person I am. From
that it’s challenged me in a way that I get to know more about myself as well as my
classmates and also exploring many new different things.
Nonetheless, as I have mentioned earlier that every works that I’ve been doing
throughout the year were challenging, so I’m kind of proud of everything that I done. To be
more precise, every works that I get to do I really put lots of effort and try to do as best as I
can which the results came out very well. If I have to choose one that I’m really proud that I
can do this good is the debate. I have done many debate before, but this is the first one that
I’ve been working lots during my free time. Within my team there are Bam, Gard, Best(J),
Tinn and Pim. Everyone working hard and help each other in order to make this work to be
the best. As a result, our team won which really surprised me and even make me proud of
myself and teammates that we can make it now. It’s worth what we have try both in class and
outside classroom. Finally, I would also said that the last project is also one of the most
challenging work for me. It’s the last project and I get to choose whether I want to do
creativity or analysis works, I chose analysis as I think that it’s my last project now, so I want
to do something that is challenging me. As a result, I put lots of effort in this last work, so
that I won’t be regret after the score come out.
Lastly, after I’ve been studying English 12 I gained so many new knowledges.
Everything that I’ve learnt it can be used in my future study in university as well.
Furthermore, as I’ve said that in this quarter I’ve to read a book which I doesn’t not like to
read at all. That’s the reason why I’m more deeply interested in reading as I also wanted to
study in a Laws field, so also have to read lots of book. This class help me want to read more
book as I think it’s very good and useful as well. Not only that, I’m also interested in writing
an analysis as well because it allows me to express my own feeling as well as I have to show
my understanding from the book which it’s a little bit hard. On the other hand, I’m also glad
that I can passed through this tough time and many difficult works. At this point, I would
like to thank you Ms.Laurin, you’ve taught me many things in this year I'm really appreciate
and grateful to have you as my last year English teacher.
