Executive Summary:

The project is mainly concern with the people who are living in the poverty line and cannot
fulfill their basic needs. The other purpose is to help the people so that we can play our part for
helping others and perform CSR.Our project is based on providing technical skills of sewing to
the widows and poor girls. We will provide skills to maximum people as we can.

Funds are arranged on the basis of individual and by the help of corporations. We will get fix
donors to give fixed amount on monthly basis. Chawala textile mills will give us fix funds on
monthly basis. Our team including volunteers will take part in performing the tasks from the
collection of funds for the sewing center. Project Manager handles all the working. Account
Officer maintains the accounts. Purchase officer purchase and insure the availability of working
staff.

Smooth running of any projects need more funding and for fund collection marketing is
necessary. It will increase the awareness of the project and attract more people to contribute in
this. Sustainability is necessary for any project. We decided to take over this project by another
organization or attach this project with other organization for longer sustainability. Best options
available are by taking the help of different companies. The project will give to the organization
after satisfaction of upper management and team about their working.

Introduction

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has been defined in many ways according to the
perception of the different people about the concept of CSR.

Social Responsibility is a duty of a person or organization to take some initiative for the
advantage of the environment and the society. It is a responsibility of every individual to keep a
balance between the ecosystem and the economy. The actions and decisions of an individual
should not be harm for society and the environment. His moral values create a difference
between the right and the wrong.

Corporate Social responsibility CSR is a wide term used to define a company’s struggle to
improve the society in any way. This effort varies from donating money to non-profit tasks like
implementing the policies that are environment friendly etc.
In our society, social responsibility is a very important factor. Even for companies, if they want
to stand high they have to implement a program or activities on social responsibility. Company
wanted to ensure that the way they are operating their business is very positive towards the
society and environment. The company who is ignoring CSR will gain risk for itself because it is
necessity for business today.

Being a citizen of Pakistan it is our duty to promote CSR in our country so that we can take apart
and play a role for helping others and for the development of our society. There are number of
widows, orphans and poor girls in our country who are living a tough life. They have no skill or
idea to live a respectful life. It is very difficult for them to fulfill their basic needs. As a student
of Corporate Social Responsibility, a task is assigned to us regarding CSR in which we have to
perform an activity which would be beneficial for our surrounding. We decided to provide some
skills to widows, orphan or poor girls through some training so that they do not rely on anyone
else and fulfill their needs by themselves. Many widows and poor girls in Pakistan are living a
life of negligence, poverty, and insecurity. If widows and orphan will learn some skills they can
earn money by themselves even if they want to do work at their homes. It provides them self-
respect and hope that they are not depending on someone else. We decided to provide free
training of sewing to them. We just wanted to make them empower. For this reason, we talked to
a sewing center that is ready to give them training regarding sewing. A free of cost sewing
training will be given to them for a specific time. When those widows or poor girls will learn, in
return they have to sew a specific number of clothes for that center without any cost.

In Pakistan, almost 55 percent women are illiterate. They are living a life of poverty and have
limited education which is the main reason that they do not find a good quality job to carry their
families. Once a woman knows about sewing she will be able to start her own sewing business
even from her home and generate an income that will be used to fulfill her needs.

We are just trying to improve the social and financial conditions of widows or poor girls by
giving them training. The project will provide a path to widows and poor girls to earn a
respectful life and change themselves and the future or their family. They will also be protected
from poverty and hunger. It will also have a positive impact on their children who will get a
chance to be educated.

 Minimum age limit is 14 years
