Due to the fear of an additional fight and/or continuance of yesterday's fight, we (Tamarac CS? Detectives) were deployed in the plaza to envure the safety of the students and patrone within the plaza. During this time, a large crowd began to gather in the northeast corner of the plaza and a call was received from CSPD in reference to a large group of students walking to our Plaza. During this time, I observed a large group gathering and a fight had begun. Before I could walk up to the students, the fight had stopped and I could not deteraine who was fighting. After the crowd dispersed, Sgt, LaCerra observed a male from yesterday's physical altercation trespassing in the plaza. This male student was trespass warned the day before (April 17, 2019). Tt should also be noted, there are nuzerous, clearly posted Broward Sheriff's Office "No Trespasaing" signs located throughout the plaza. As Sgt. LaCerra and I walked over to the male student who was previously treapassed, ve ordered him to sit down. This male student was going to be placed into custody for trespassing and was not free to leave. I grabbed him and escorted him to the ground and placed him inte custody without further incident. While I was dealing with the male on the ground, I observed his phone slide to the right of me and then behind me. 44 # Continued + + + CHRISTOPHER Date Officer's Name/Division The foregoing instrument was acknowledged before me this 18 LE. LaCerra ordered the student to stay back while I was on the ground with the other student, with ay back turned. At this point, the male with the red tank top, took an agressive stance towards Sgt, LaCerra. The male with the red tank top bladed his body and began clenching his fiste Tho male was adninistered OC spray and subsequently forced to the ground. Seeing the large crowd (200 plus students) converging on the two of us, I quickly jumped on the male with the red tank top. With the crowd closing in and the loud yelling and threats towards us, I pushed down on the male to ensure ay weight was full on his person so he could not attempt to take flight or fight us. Tho male with the red tank top felt like he was trying to push up while I was pushing down. Again, the three of us were outnusbered by the large group of students who were yelling, threatening us and surrounding us, I had to act quickly, fearing I would get struck or having a student potentially grab weapons off of my belt or vest. At one point, hie left arm was free and next to him, while he placed his right arm under his face, I struck the male in the right side of his head with a closed fist as a distractionary technique to free his right hand. This technique was successful and I was able to place him into handcuffs without further incident. To be clear, both, Sgt. LaCerra and I were in our full BSO Assued Class C uniform which consists of olive green shirt, pante and outer ballistics vests with clearly states "Sheriff" in large, bold lettering. + 4 * Continued ## # [swear thg abovp)statement is corect and true tothe best of my knowledge and beleh Lut Le MSRIT ARICKOVICH, CHRISTOPHER Officers SealtigiCCN.
