2. Course description :
- This course is designed to introduce fundamental knowledge of English which is
relevant to level A2 in common European Framework of reference for language. It
provides students with sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas
of most immediate relevance. It also enables students to deal with simple,
straightforward information and begin to express themselves in familiar contexts.
In addition, it introduces students to learning strategies that will enhance their
learning experience and improve their language skills.
3. Course Goals: the course helps the learners:
-Develop vocabulary related to topics used in KET exam such as: daily life, people,
social interaction..
-Develop knowledge related to the format of KET exam;
-Develop skills (listening-speaking; reading-writing) to enhance KET exam
performance.

- Give students some tips of doing each part of a LO1.1,
KET test successfully. LO2.1,
- Introduce students with some online websites for LO2.2,
1 KET test free download. LO3.1,
- Introduce some online websites and books for LO3.2,
students to practice Listening, Speaking, LO 4.1
Reading and Writing.
- Have students do a diagnostic test, which is one of
the KET tests the teacher can find, and is not
from the course books. Speaking skill can be
skipped from the diagnostic test due to the limit
of time.
- Teacher ensures the environment for an
international test.

and take note of the difficulties using these

in the next week.
-Correct the diagnostic test. The teacher announces P 14-25
the students’ results, give comments on the
strong and weak points of each student on the
Comment Sheet and gives it back to students for
reference.

- Attend the class at least 80% of required periods for the course.

- Take both midterm and final exams.
