Chapter 1 “Mujadid Alf Sani”
Day 1: New Terminology

Trained, Caught, bow, court

Discuss the main concept through:

1. Trained: Show picture of people getting trainings in different fields. That


they are also getting trainings in the class.
2. Caught: Throw something to a child and tell him/her to catch it. Show
them the pictures of prisoners and tell them that they are caught by
police.
3. Bow: Show the children a bow and tell them that they are caught by
police.
4. Court: Show Mughal emperors courts where they used to do the
hearings and give advice. Show the pictures of nowadays court where
the issued are resolved.

Homework idea: Find out how did you learnt about Islam, through your
parents grandparents or by your teachers?

How did you learn to read Quran and Namaz?

Day 2: Storytelling (Concept, Motivation)

Ask the children when they started to read Quran?

Have they heard about the Mughal Emperors?

What kind of life they lived?

Who was the most successful emperor of that time?

Read the lesson with correct pronunciation.

Day 3 & 4: Reading

Reading of the chapter by the students

It can be done at class level where each child read some part, or small group
level where you divide the classes in groups of three to five students and then
monitor their reading.

Homework idea: Collect the picture of Mughal emperors from the magazines
Paste them in your note books along with their names.

Day 5: Exercises (Verbal)

Discuss the question/Answers with the children. Discuss Mujaddid Alf Sani’s
character with the children. His good habits and why was so popular.

Homework idea: Ask the children who is their favorite Mughal emperor and
why. Tell them to write a few sentences about their favorite Mughal emperor.
Write reason also why they like him.

Comprehension:

Ans. Mujadid Alf Sani was a great Muslim teacher. He was a very simple
natured person. He spread Islam everywhere and also trained others to spread
Islam.

Ans. King Jahangir was afraid of Mujadid Alf Sani because he was informed that
Mujadid Alf Sani is making an army to fight against him.

Ans. Mohabbat Khan was a great army general. He fought against King Jahangir
and after his defeat sends him to prison. Mujadid Alf Sani told Mohabbat Khan
to release King Jahangir from prison.

Ans. King Jahangir sends Mujadid Alf Sani to prison because he didn’t bowed to
him. When King Jahangir was defeated by Mohabbat Khan and was sent to
prison Mujadid Alf Sani told to free him, this made King Jahangir ashamed of
his behavior and he apologized and left all the bad habits and became a good
person.

Chapter 2 “Aurangzeb Alamgir”
Day 1: New Terminology

Long rod with pointed end, sew, Grand Masjid, complains, warning, punish

Explain the new concept through:

1. Long rod with pointed end: Show the children the picture of spear
(Long rod with pointed end)and tell them that it was used in the wars
in olden days.
2. Sew: Bring a needle, thread and a piece of cloth. Show the children how
to Sew by using thread and needle .
3. Grand Masjid: Bring pictures of Badshahi Mosque of Lahore and show
them to the children. Show them some more pictures of some grand
Mosque in the world.
4. Complains: Tell them how the children complain about each like
‘’Teacher, He /She have taken my book or pencil.’’
5. Warning: Tell on child that, ‘’You will not go out in the break for the
next three days. That warning. ‘’Tell them tell them when someone
does anything bad, he/ she given a warning so that they don’t do it
again.
6. Punish: Tell the children that punishment is very bad but when people
do bad things, They need to be punished so that they learn a lesson.
Show them the pictures of prisoners who are punished and are in the
prison.

Homework idea:

Tell the children to collect pictures of some Grand Mosques. Paste them
on ¼ pieces of chart papers with their names. Draw pretty borders around
it. Display them on the soft board.

Day 2: Storytelling (Concept, Motivation)

Ask the children how the people fought the battles in the olden days.

What did they use as their weapons?

Which animal did they use to travel from one place to another?

Day 3 & 4: Reading

Reading of the chapters by students

It can be done in the class level where each child read some part, or small
group level where you divide the classes in group of three and five
students then monitor their reading.

Homework idea:

Ask the children to write a few sentences about any brave act that they did
recently. Like: saving a child or an animal or a bird’s life.

Where did he find him/it?

What had happened to him/it?

How did they help him/it?

How did they feel afterwards?

Discuss the question/answer with the children. Discuss the Character of


Aurangzeb Alamgir with them.

complains of the people.

Ans. Aurangzeb was fifteen years old when he was attacked by a war elephant.
He was not frightened by it; instead he threw a long rod with pointed end
towards the elephant and saved himself.

Ans. Aurangzeb started his routine by Tahajud and then read Quran. Then he
completed his 4th book Fatwa Alamgiri. Then he sews 10 caps to earn his
money. Then he started his meetings. First with the construction people, who
completed the Lahore Masjid. Second meeting was with police department
who told about the law and order situation in the country. In the afternoon he
had open meeting with the people where he listen to their complains. Then he
met with the generals who informed about the disturbance in the country. In
the last finished the day with Isha prayers.

Chapter 3 “Shah Wali Ullah”
Day 1: New Terminology

Net, Scholar, Hadith, Mission, research

Explain the new concept through:

1. Net: Show them the net on the windows. Tell them that the net is the
network on the computer from where we can find out the information
about anything what we want.
2. Scholar: Show great scholars pictures and briefly tell them what good
works they have done.
3. Hadith: Bring look of hadith and read some hadith to the children them
that whatever our prophet Muhammad said, Are compiled in the form
of hadiths in books.
4. Mission: Tell the children that mission is a special task or assignment
given to a person or a group of people. Like assign a mission to each of
children that they are going to check whether their partners has
completed his/her work on time or not.
5. Research: Tell the children to research (find out) about their
grandparents who have done good works in the olden times.

Home work idea:

Tell the children to get on hadith related to children’s behavior. Write them on
hard sheet. Draw beautiful borders and put them on the soft board.

Ask the children what do they know about the people who spread Islam?

What hardship did they face?

Chapter 4 “Tipu Sultan”

Day 1: New Terminology

Castle, sword, jackal, capture, slaves, injury, Mysore

Explain the new concept through:

I. Castle: Show the children pictures of castles of different countries. Tell


them that king and queen skive in the castles.
II. Sword: Bring a toy sword and let the children observe what kinds of
weapons were used in wars in the olden days.
III. Jackal: Show the children picture of a jackal. Tell them that it lives in the
jungle. It mostly looks like a wolf.
IV. Capture. Show the children the different kinds of cages in which the
birds are captured and kept. Show them the pictures of prison in which
people are captured and kept.
V. Slaves: Tell them to observe who do the cleaning, washing, dusting,
catering, in canteens, in their schools. Tell them that all of them are
servants or slaves.
VI. Injury: Ask the children if any of them is hurt anywhere. Show the
children how did the child got injured.
VII. Mysore: Show the children the pictures of Mysore state in India.

that it's you (Teacher) Ask each of the children who is the eldest among
them in their families.
II. Oil lamp: Bring an oil lamp in the class and let the children observe how
people used to study and do their works on the light of an oil lamp.
III. Marbles: Show the children different colored marbles and tell them
different children play with them in the streets.
IV. Lawyer: Bring a picture of a lawyer in his special suit and show the
children the dress code of the lawyers.

Explain the new concept through.

I. Shaheen: Show the children, the picture of Shaheen. Show them the
pictures of its nest also in the high mountains.
II. Garbage: Show the children the dustbin and ask them what it is used for.
Show them the big garbage tins in the grounds for throwing the trash in
it.

Chapter 13 “Industry”
Day 1: New Terminology

Fabric, power loom, power shortage, leaned

Explain the new concepts through

I. Fabric: Show the children the fabric that you are wearing. Tell
them to touch the fabric that they are wearing. Tell the difference.
II. Power loom: Show the picture of big power looms in the factory.
Tell the children that the fabrics they are wearing are all made in
these factories.
III. Power shortage: Tell the children that shortage means less. When
the electricity comes in fewer amounts that it is required then we
have power shortage.
IV. Leaned: Bent down and show how you lean. Or stand against a
wall and tell them that you are leaning against the wall.

Homework idea: Tell the children to bring different things mode of different
fabrics and display in the display corner. Write a sentence with it what fabric is
it made of.

Day 2: Storytelling (Concept, Motivation)

Ask the children what fabric they like the most. Why?

What fabric they wear mostly at home?

What fabric they wear when they go to parties or to somebody’s house?

Read the lesson with correct pronunciation.

Day 3 & 4: Reading

Reading the chapter by students

It can be done at class level where each child reads some part, or small group
level where you divide the classes in groups of three to five students and then
monitor their reading.

cotton with them.

Homework idea: Bring things made of cotton like small towel, hanky, table
napkin, cotton bud, gloves and tissue paper box cover. Display them in the
display corner with the title, ‘Cotton crafts’.

Flood, experts, staff, customers

Explain the new concepts through:

1. Flood: Show the children pictures of flood hit area. What damage it
causes to the areas.
2. Experts: Tell the children that you are an expert in teaching. The
principal is an expert in managing the administrative matters. In the

same way there are experts of every work who can guide people.
3. Staff: Ask the children who is there in their school. The cleaner, cashier,
accountant, teachers, principal and others. All these people are the staff
of the school.
4. Customers: Display some things on the table. Ask one child to be the
shop keeper. Ask some children to come and buy the things and give
paper money to him. These children who are buying the things are the
customers.
5. Home work idea: Ask the children what is their favorite dish.
