Virginia Woof Dog Daycare is announcing non-profit partnership with Radford University
to provide a comfortable stay for all animals at RU and in local area

Radford University, VA. (Feb 14, 2019) The Virginia Woof Dog Daycare has announced a
partnership with Radford University. Construction will begin March 2019. The Doggy Daycare
will have its own building located in front of Moffet Hall.

We are one of the largest dog daycare non-profit organizations in the Portland area and we would
like to expand our services to college students and locals. We focus on cleanliness, safety and
professionalism. Our employees were hand chosen because of their love and care for animals.
We use a nature approach when it comes to teaching hired staff and volunteers, and we are
hoping to expand our knowledge with more RU students.

Director David Stone has managed our non-profit organization for over 20 years. He has a
passion for animals and interacting with them. He is the first person in Portland to partnership
with the Hand and Paw Partnership.

“I am in high hopes of reaching out to more RU college students especially the ones looking
forward to spending more time with animals,” Stone said. “I personally traveled to RU and set up
flyers and have been in contact with several students already.”

Offering a safe and affordable environment for college students and locals to drop off their pets.
Whether it is for a day of doggy retreat or an extended stay such as spring break or any major
holiday. We are looking forward to assisting your pets and possibly you when you sign up for
our free dog lessons on Saturdays. We offer more services such as; professional training, play
areas for large and small dogs, large kennels for feeding and quite time and temperature-
controlled rooms.

Assistant Manager Shannon Davis has worked with Stone for the past 20 years. Davis went to
veterinary school at Virginia Tech and graduated with a master’s degree in animal science.

“My favorite time of the day is when I get to take the dogs outside for play time, I love watching
them run around together and teaching client’s new ways to interact with their pets,” Davis said.
“After just one week of training classes I have taught 5 dogs simple commands such as; sit,
down, come, and roll over.”
