To Whom it May Concern:

I am writing on behalf of Mr. Eric Pape, senior at Western High School. I have had the pleasure of
working with Eric in our year long Flex course for two consecutive years, as well as currently in AP
Psychology and the elective of sociology. Throughout the three years I have worked with Eric, I
have learned numerous traits about him. Eric demonstrates a mature character in his service to
others in both his academic knowledge and respect, as well as possessing a his trait of leadership.
Eric’s experiences in Flex are extremely involved, as he continuously stays focused, accomplishing
goals and helping others. For example, since Eric excels in his classes and often has time to help
his classmates, he pays it forward by working with underclassmen on their studies. In addition,
any time I ask a request of Eric, he is ready to help; this shows his service to others.
Although I am not one of Eric’s athletic coaches, I have watched Eric’s superior athleticism and am
proud to have him representing Western High School in the sports of football. His achievements
are consistent and I believe his enthusiasm and dedication to this sport makes his talents a pillar in
the world of athletics. He knows how to overcome adversity and to stand by his commitment to a
team.
Eric has always been a leader, both in class and on the field. He is recognized in his class as a
person with integrity, intelligence, and a positive attitude.

I am honored to be a part of Eric’s education each day and strive to challenge him to go above and
beyond. Eric’s dedication and motivation to succeed makes him an outstanding candidate for the
acceptance to your university.
