Common Core. I am well prepared each day with curriculum that is research based, 
innovative, and purposeful. I am a lifelong learner that brings contemporary, real world 
content into the classroom to increase students' engagement in the world around them. I 
integrate the arts into core subjects to help students meet learning objectives in more creative 
and meaningful ways. I create a safe and positive learning environment in which each 
student is an integral part of a classroom community. I foster social and emotional growth and 
development and ensure each student feels loved and valued as a human being. I build 
community relationships and provide opportunities for civic engagement. I am ambitious and 
collaborative, helping to bring new resources, ideas, and perspectives into the classroom. I 
recognize each student comes into the classroom with a unique set of strengths and 
challenges and work diligently to help them set and reach goals, and overcome obstacles.
