in the Exam-Hall itself. So, I have tried my best to explain about the same.

This is what is there in a typical Advertisement of DTU LEET —

“The admission to B.Tech. (Lateral Entry) Programme shall be done by Delhi

Technological University on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates in the
qualifying Examination. In case more than one candidate has equal marks in the
qualifying Examination, the candidate born earlier will be given preference.

Note: In case of large number of applications, the admission committee may conduct
screening test (consisting of physics, chemistry, and mathematics, general aptitude)
to reduce the number to a sizeable one.”

~ (Adv. 2016–17)

OR

“The admission will be purely based on merit giving full weightage to their score in
the qualifying Diploma course in the prescribed period of normal study. However, the
admission committee may conduct screening test (physics, chemistry, mathematics
and mental ability)/ interview depending upon the number of applicants.”

~ (Adv. 2015–16)

And since the introduction of the Program, DTU has only conducted a Screening
Test consisting of Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Aptitude followed by Direct
Admission process.

Pattern:

There will be 120 questions equally divided into 4 parts —

Physics(30), Chemistry(30), Maths(30) and Aptitude(30).

Syllabus:

Physics, Chemistry and Maths

Almost 80% is covered from Standard IX & X (NCERTs).

Rest 20% is from the Diploma Engineering Syllabus.

Normal Aptitude Questions are there based on Ages, Train, Work, etc.

Recommended Books:

NCERT: Science(excluding biology part) and Maths of class IX and X.

Any Diploma Engineering Physics, Chemistry and Maths Book.

There are many books for practicing Aptitude, you can go for any of them.

For practicing MCQs, “The Conceptum” by Iftekhar Ahmad is a good book covering
Physics, Chemistry and Maths part of Class IX and X.

Other books are equally good, you just need to match the syllabus.
