LATER LIFE OF RASULULLAH

In Islamic history, there was a massive mobilization of Muslims to avoid the actions of the
infidel Quraysh towards followers of the Prophet.
The first is Hijrah to the land of Habsyi or now it called Ethiopia. At that time Rasululllah Saw
was concerned about the fate of his followers who often suffered torture and intimidation from
the Quraysh so he asked his relatives and friends to move to Habsyi to get a protection and live
more comfortable. because in the land of Habyi was being led by a King fair, wise and kind.
Friends and relatives of the Prophet who migrated to the land of Habyi at that time were, Osman
bin Affan and his wife, daughter of the Prophet. However, according to the history Osman bin
Affan back to Mecca after hearing that people in Mecca had converted to Islam. but that news
was lie. then some of them returned to Habyi and others continued their journey to Mecca
secretly.
After a while. The prophet asked again to his friend to move to Habsyi because of witnessing of
the fate of their followers. especially after the person who had been defending him, his uncle
Abu Talib died. This is the second wave of migration to Habsyi which according to history
occurred in about 5 years after the Prophet was appointed as a Prophet.
In Habsyi, they were welcomed and welcomed by the King and given a proper place for them so
that they lived quietly and carried out their religious rituals properly and safely. This
mobilization is then one of the main factors in the development and expansion of Islam in the
African continent in the future, making Africa one of the most populated regions in the world.
Even in its history, Ethiopia, which became the destination of Muslim migration at that time,
succeeded in building a civilization in the region as well as other areas around the red sea.
The second massive mobilization occurred when the Prophet decided to migrate to Medina
together with his friends due to the pressure and treatment of the Quraysh towards the Prophet
and all of his followers. Even on the night of the hijrah was the night of the Quraysh conspiracy
to kill the Prophet and also on that night the Prophet left Mecca for Madinah with his friends and
family. The decision to emigrate to Medina was solely because of the Quraysh's treatment of it
which had been so outrageous that they even planned to kill the Prophet by gathering the Meccan
heroes at that time. But because of the protection of Allah, the Messenger of Allah and all his
friends managed to disappear from Mecca by tricking them and arriving safely in Medina after a
long journey through the mountain between Mecca and Madinah.
In Medina, the Prophet was welcomed by residents of Medina who had been waiting for a few
days to arrive. Citizen of Medinah also served land for Rasulullah for build the mosque, house,
and plantations. Only a few months in Medina, the Messenger of Allah and his friends arranged
this city well. Wadi Aqiq, which was a source of spring water at that time, was well managed so
that it was able to irrigate the agricultural community around the city. Even as a source of
drinking water by the caliph at that time.

The religious sciences and Islamic ethics taught by the Prophet to his people combined with
general knowledge made Muslim communities more respected because not only did they succeed
in creating a dignified and humanitarian community, they also managed to expand their
territories and increase the number of their followers.

From Medina, Islam was everywhere in all corners of the world not only in the Arabian
Peninsula but also in Europe, Asia and beyond. Therefore, the Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allah be on him) established Medina as the holy land as in his hadith which said "That Every
Prophet has a holy land, Mecca Is the Holy Land of Prophet Ibrahim and Medina Is My Holly
Land".
Wallahu a'lam bishawab.
