ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Research in education is crucial. The Institutions of higher education in India are
facing crucial challenge in creating, nurturing and maintaining the level of quality
research. Researchers generally collect & compile a large body of useful data, but due
to lack in proper knowledge and training in analytical techniques and computer
programs, they are often at a loss to make sense of the data they have collected. They

face such questions as which procedure of analysis to follow and what techniques to
apply for data on hand, what do the results show, how are the results to be interpreted
and explained, how are the findings to be reported, etc. The need of the hour is to
develop, sound methodological base of research among the budding educationists
and researchers to cope up with future challenges. To operationalize this vision, there
is need to train, reorient and reactivate the researchers on latest research techniques
and programs. This workshop aims at providing hands on training on data handling,
analyzing and deriving preliminary results using R-Studio. It will build confidence
among faculties, researchers and trainers in applying data analysis tools, which will
significantly augment the level of research and publication skill of participants.
