COURSE DESCRIPTION

COURSE TITLE Wiring , Testing and Troubleshooting of Three Phase Induction Motor
Starters

BRIEF The course is aimed mainly for technical people such as Electricians,
DESCRIPTION Technicians , Technical Officers, Engineers and Maintenance personnel
and students who wants to acquire knowledge and skills on use and
application of three phase induction motors used in industrial control
systems . The course uses a 'hands-on' practical approach to reinforce the
theoretical aspects of the training. Practical tasks on three phase motor
starters are also undertaken.

AIMS & On completion of the course the trainee should:


OBJECTIVES
 Be able to understand Single and Three Phase systems
 Be able to perform sizing of cables & contactors
 Be able to select protective devices
 Be able Install, test and troubleshoot Three Phase Motor starters
 Configure and Test Variable Speed Drive Control Systems
