Got interviewed in 5 technical subjects. Concepts, derivations and plots were asked and they went
deep into concepts till you get stuck. They do give hints. It is important to crack hints and move deeper. Intern jobs

It was a bit lengthy. Panel comprises of 5 members.I am from electronics profile.they will ask us to tell
any 5 subjects u like.questions will be based on those subjects. They test your knowledge in depth.they

The interview was held in barc mumbai, the panel consists of 6 to 7 people, they firstly asked to write 4
of your prepared subjects and then started asking questions from first subject which i wrote which was
mass transfer, questions were really practical, they didn't asked any thing in detail but foccused on
more practical problems.

Interview Questions
1. what will happen o velocity in tube side of heat exchanger when bunddle dia is changed.
2. draw mass transfer profile for water evaporating from a pond.
3. draw a shell and tube heat exchanger.

I have applied online and got shortlisted through GATE score. The interview panel had 5 members and
they asked me to tell the subjects I had prepared and their questions were confined to those subjects.

Interview
Interview shortlisting is done through GATE(Graduate aptitude test in engineering). Then a technical
interview. The interview last for 45 minutes. This is the minimum time they hold interview for. They can
be of 1 hour.

Interview Questions
The question which i remember are:
What are the stresses acting on the bottle filed with water?.(A water bottle was kept on the table.)
Derive the formulas for them.
Draw the stress strain curve for concrete as used in limit state method of design with all the
parameters.
What is prestress concrete.What will be the profile of the tendon in a beam subjected to UDL. And also
for concentrated load?
What is buckling and why…

I was called for the BARC interview on the basis of GATE score(I got 99 percentile in GATE).I also
achieved 98.9 percentile in the online exam separately taken by BARC.I was asked to write my 4
favourite subjects. I answered all but one question and on that basis I was disqualified.The interview
