“ADOLESCENT PREGNANCY” *ALCOHOLISM AND DRUG ABUSE- THEY ARE INDULGE

BY SEX AND MANY YOUNG GIRLS WILL BE AFFECTED.

What is adolescent pregnancy? Adolescent
pregnancy is just another term for a teenage
pregnancy. This is a pregnancy wherein females got
pregnant under 20 years of age. A female can be
pregnant due to a sexual intercourse. Pregnant
teenagers under the age of 15 had a less physical
develop to sustain a healthy birth. For girls whose age
of 15-19 had also a possible risk of LOW BIRTH
WEIGHT, wherein according to the WHO or the
WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION babies had a weight
of 2,499 g or less is considered as a LOW BIRTH
WEIGHT because the normal weight of a baby is
2,500- 4,200 g; we also have a risk of a PREMATURE
LABOUR where babies are deliver before 37 weeks
and the PRE-ECLAMPSIA is a disorder of pregnancy
wherein characterized by the onset of high blood
pressure.
The data from Philippine Statistics Authority
said that the Philippines were the one that has the
highest rating of teenage pregnancy. They found out
that more than 18,000 of teenage mother between
15-19 had a second child.
*LACK OF KNOWLEDGE- UNEDUCATED GIRLS IS THE
MOST VICTIMS OF TEENAGE PREGNANCY
*PORNOGRAPHY- PORNOGRAPHY VIDEOS AND
PHOTOS MAY BE AVAILABLE ON INTERNET,
MAGAZINES, NEWSPAPERS THAT TEENAGERS MAY BE
TEMPT AND LEADS TO PREGNANCY.
Teenage pregnancy can be prevented and
controlled by the following:
1. Biblical counselling – the bible is the only
authoritative, authentic, and accurate book that is
best for counselling.
2. Sex education – students and teenagers must be
taught when and how to have legal sex, the
consequences of indiscriminate and casual sex, and
the effects of teenage pregnancy.
5. Adult education – parents and guardians are to
be educated on the importance of education and
future.

There are many CAUSES of teenage
pregnancy that according to CCCN or the CHRIST
CENTERED COUNSELING NETWORK, the following are
the causes of teenage pregnancy: POVERTY, BROKEN
HOME, PEER PRESSURE OR INFLUENCE, LUST, RAPE
AND SEXUAL ABUSE, ALCOHOLISM AND DRUG ABUSE,
LACK OF KNOWLEDGE, ENVIRONMENTAL INFLUENCE,
and PORNOGRAPHY.
6. Law enforcement – all pornography videos,
magazines, and books must be banned from schools,
colleges, and public libraries, social networks, and TV,
this will help prevent teenage pregnancy. Rapist,
sexual abusers and molestations are to be prisoned to
correct them.

*POVERTY- THE STATE OF BEING POOR MAKE

TEENAGE GIRLS TO BE TRAP BY OLDER PEOPLE. FOR
EXAMPLE, LENDING THEM MONEY TO GIVE THEIR
BODIES AND GOT PREGNANT.

*BROKEN HOME- REFERS TO A BROKEN FAMILY.

TEENAGERS SUFFER A LOT OF DEPRESSION. THEY
ALSO LACK OF PARENTAL LOVE AND AFFECTION. NO
ONE WILL PROVIDE OR GUIDE THEM SO THEY
BECAME PREGNANT

*PEER PRESSURE OR INFLUENCED- TEENAGERS GOT

PREGNANT CAN BE INFLUENCE BY FRIEND.

*LUST – SOME TEENAGER GOT INTO A RELATIONSHIP

BECAUSE OF LUST. IN ADOLESCENT BOTH MALE AND
FEMALE WILL GO THROUGH PSYCHOLOGICAL SEXUAL
FEELING AND MAY PUT IT ON REALITY OR MAY ACT
ON IT.

*RAPE AND SEXUAL ABUSE- TEENAGERS GOT

PREGNANT IN RAPE AND ALSO A SEXUAL ABUSE BY
SOME ELDERLY PERSON.
