Flatline Church at Chisholm Update

We rejoice in what the Lord is doing through the Flatline Church at Chisholm. Since
2018, He has brought two beautiful churches together in the form of the Chisholm
Baptist congregation and the new Flatline Church. While the older Chisholm family
and their rich legacy continue to meet, they have unselfishly extended their property
for a new church to minister in the same location to the changing community. The
results have been fabulous:
⁎ Chisholm Baptist Church, along with their pastor Daniel Edmonds and Planters
Neal Hughes Dewayne Rembert and Keelan Adams of the Flatline Church at Chisholm have

regularly been meeting for prayer and strategy planning since 2018.
⁎ Chisholm Baptist Church agreed to turn over their deed to the MBA and have committed to staying on
location not only for their time of worship but also to be a prayerful, financial and advisory support to
the new Flatline church. MBA’s Executive Board has agreed to all plans.
⁎ The Strong Tower at Washington Park congregation and their pastor, Terrence Jones, agreed to be
the Mother Church, sending not only their youth pastor Dewayne Rembert but offering an invitation for
members of Strong Tower to support and even join the new work on the Northeast side of Montgomery.
⁎ Dewayne and Leslie Rembert went through Alabama Baptist Church Planters Basic Training and
Assessment events, led so faithfully by Lamar Duke. They received a yellow flag, affirming the
couple, but with the following caveats: 1. Dewayne would seek someone to help with the details of his
new work; 2. The Flatline Church would achieve all the requirements necessary for membership into
the Montgomery Baptist Association.
⁎ Keelan and Traci Adams became a part of the Flatline core
group. Keelan, a well-known educator and apologist, became the
detail brother to Dewayne’s visionary leadership. He is now an
MSC missionary with the North American Mission Board as a
church planting team member.
English as a Second Language
⁎ Flatline Church made an application for membership to the Teacher Training 2019
Montgomery Baptist Association and are presently under
watchcare. This two-day training will be
⁎ Flatline Church at Chisholm, with the assistance of the Chisholm May 4 & May 11
Baptist family and many other churches, began ministering to 8:30 am to 3:00 pm each Saturday
the community in January 2019 through I Don’t Have to Cook at the Montgomery Baptist Association
Nights, Love Loud Chisholm Days, and a Saturday block party before their launch. 20 Interstate Park Drive
Cost: $30 (includes ESL manual and materials)
⁎ Flatline Church had their launch service on Sunday, April 14, with close to 200 people present Email Lisa at lrose@mgmbaptists.org
(pictured above right). by April 26 to register.
⁎ Flatline Church received a food bus along with many other items to assist them in their ministry at
Flatline Church.
⁎ The work continues with weekly services each Sunday, 2:30 pm, at 2938 Lower Wetumpka Highway.
God is using the new church to “save the lost, heal the weak, and help the poor.”
