When the active verb has two objects, we can use either of them as the subject of the passive
voice. Ex: Active: He gave me the book.
Passive: I was given the book/ The book was given to me.
Use of the passive voice:
• When who or what causes the action is unknown , unimportant or it is obvious:
My bike has been stolen. The road is being repaired.
• when we describe processes (for example, scientific processes) and in formal writing :
The brochure will be finished next month. Firstly, the chemical has to be placed in a test tube…
