Assignment Title: Q1 End of the Unit Reflection

Student Writing Goal: My goal by doing this assignment is to correct the errors with my previous essay and also edit it
effectively so that I can use it in the future to extend it.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

The purpose of this assignment is to address a social issue that is going on right now. I chose drug addiction
and I had decided to talk about how and why people get addicted and the probable solutions that have been
presented in the past years.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I believe I was affective in certain areas of the rubric and not so much in the others. Little things such as self-
editing that could’ve easily been corrected if I went over it one last time. But I think I got the goal of the
prompt through my evidence and quotes from m external sources and hands on experience aswell.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
I believe I did well when it came down to providing information on the subject of matter. Such as giving
cures to drug addiction and by showing which methods have worked effectively with past victims.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

At first I did not chose to edit it because I believed that I had already spent enough time on the paper and
wording it. Now I realize that I should have went over it at least one more time so that I can get all the small
mistakes like punctuation,

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
I will definitely decide to go over it a couple times when I’m done. Also I think I can explain furthermore
when it comes describing why that quote supports my argument. Also paying attention to repeated words can
change my essay for the better.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
I think I can say that my goal helped improve my essay so that the grade goes up. I tried to apply the best of
editing skills to improve some of the sentences I have to be able to get my point across more effectively.
