We have to write an essay about one of our best traits, must be between 490- 510
words and show why this trait is important to have.

Being a good teammate is one of the most difficult things when you compete in
competitive sports. This is one thing that I have become good at over my years of
playing. Being a good teammate is more than just cheering your team on when you are
winning. Becoming a good teammate take a lot of patience and hard work.

First off, being a good teammate is the only way to be good at what you are doing,
there is no way to be successful if you can't communicate, examples i've had in my life
are with baseball. I have learned that it is impossible to win a game without having good
teammates, people that help you keep your head up in bad situations when things just
aren't going your way. Being a good teammate means to keep your head up when your
team is losing and trying to get it together and win.

I always try to be a good teammate as much as possible, obviously I mess up a lot

too, but when I do I try to get over it as fast as possible and focus on my next chance to
be the best I can. If you have a team full of good teammates you will always be
successful.

Being a good teammate is one of the best skills you can have, with this skill not only
do you impact yourself but you impact everyone that surrounds you to set off a good
vibe and for everyone to be the best they possibly can. I have been captain of the
baseball team since my junior year, I have earned this spot by being the best teammate
I can be in every game that we play.

My parents have always told me that the best thing I can do in my life is be a good
example to others, one of my biggest goals in my everyday life is to show people a good
example, I try to do this all of the time to the younger kids on the baseball team. Making
sure that when they get into their senior year of high school that they are ready to be
leaders of the team. When I was a freshman I didn’t have very good leadership, all of
the older kids were into drugs and bad things, I try to show the younger kids that they
have a bright future and can go places, This is me being the best teammate i can on
and off the baseball field. Being a good teammate means that you are never
complaining, you control what you can and just let everything else happen and try to
encourage others to do the same as you.
 I think that being a good teammate is one of the best traits to have because not only
does it affect you it affects’ everyone that is surrounding you and is by your side. I have
gotten this trait by playing sports my whole life.
