GLOBAL ASSESSMENT

In the space below, please assess the athletic training in each of the following areas:

Willingness to accept role as a health care provider

I believe that Kayla has accepted her role as a health care provider and takes it very seriously. I
feel that she maintains a professional standard with the student athletes, parents, and coaches
that they all respect.

Utilization of evidence-based medicine techniques in patient care

Like always, Kayla and Hunter both bring in the position statements and we have talked about a
few of them which helps keep my evidence base skills up to date. Kayla uses information from
the position statements and what she learned in class while doing rehabs on student athletes as
she sees necessary.

Strengths of the athletic training student

She is very knowledgeable and knows her stuff. The kids love her.

Areas for the athletic training student to improve

With her knowledge comes self doubt. Working on self confidence when it comes to athletic
training and knowing what you're doing. YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. Always continue to
work on taping skills and thinking outside of the box when it comes to rehab techniques.

Additional comments
I love her.

Do you feel students under your supervision engage in a sufficient number of real-time
clinical evaluations? Why or Why Not?
Yes. Because I have soft kids and they get 'hurt'.
