Establishing Classroom Routine and Procedures

For the smooth flow of our discussion, establishing rules and routine is very important.

A designated student for the day will pray, they already memorize it. For classroom management, since
their chairs are already alinged just ask them to pick up the trash underneath. A clean classroom can
give the students a clear mind thus preparing them for the lesson ahead. Some students tend to talk
with their seatmates despites asking them to quiet down, during these times it is better let them settle
down on their own however there are some instances especially for the lower sections who are more
rambunctions. Firmly tell them to settle down with a voice enough to be heard in the four corners of the
room. Since they are already quiet and ready to start the lesson irst off greeting the students 'Good
morning' both energize not just the whole class but the student teacher as well . To save time, the class
secratary will report the name of the students who are late, then asking them how they are, if they are
fine. In order to keep the class more proper during the class letting them talk with their seatmates with
the exception of speaking or uttering any tagalog words. With these in mind most students who tend to
be noisy get shy to speak since such time prohibit speaking in their mother tongue. Setting out the rules
and injecting it in the classroom management helped a lot to keep the class and lesson more smooth
with out any form of distratction at the very least. Remind them to always follow the role before starting
the lesson so that they won't forget as time goes by, it got to the point that some students will remind
their classmates to speak English when answering and askibg them. After making sure that everyone is
ready and attentive, the bext step is recalling of the past lesson. Most students are very active, it had
become a routine, they are all ready to raise their hand and answer some questions. After 2 or 3
questions the lesson proper will start, motivation is very important. It boost the students energy to a
whole new level. Since lesson proper is also part of the procedure for the classroom routine making sure
to reinforce some ground rules such as be quiet, raise the hands if they want ask questions or want to
answer for a smooth sailing discussion. Before giving them a quiz it is very important to ask the student
if they have any questions or clarifications. As a part of the lesson proper, it is a must to give them a
asessemenet to make sure that they really understand the lesson. Before ending the class I gave them
assingments to ensure that learning will still transpire at home. Before leaving the class, I ask some
students to erase the board. Ask them if they enjoy and learn something. Alligning their chairs and bade
them goodbye.
