1. My time in this class has been very beneficial both for my education in school and my
physical well-being. The connections that could be drawn between this class and
others are countless but there was one I found to be the most helpful for me. That
connection was the importance of being responsible for your own well being and
success. Every course you take at SLCC provides all that is needed to succeed, all
that is left is participation and preparedness. If you take care of yourself and do what
is asked of then success is imminent for both work and your body. I was able to
realize this when the module assignments were centered around taking care of our
bodies such as physical fitness, sleep, and nutrition. I did the challenges required of
me throughout the modules and I saw that because I took care of my body, taking
my other courses became more simple and easier to understand because my body was
overall, if you are responsible for yourself then you be responsible for everything
else.
2. The thoughts I had on physical fitness and life wellness were pretty mediocre before
this course. I knew it was important but not enough to apply it to myself, so I got
sluggish and lazy. I used to be pretty on top of fitness until a little after High School
where I lost motivation and got caught up in slump prioritizing other things above my
health. After completing this course, I have a new motivation to keep up on my health

through not just exercising but nutrition, hydration, and sleep. I would say that my
understanding of life wellness has revitalized and put back in my top priorities where
it most definitely belongs. The difference now is that I have better methods and
routines to help me stay on top of my fitness and life wellness that I learned
specifically through modules 2-5. Honestly the most influential thing for me this
course was the information on module 4 where it teaches about properly working out
and how to effectively pace yourself. I knew how to work out when conditioning for
races (since I ran sprints for track and field in high school) but I wasn’t in that
position any more so I felt a little lost and it hurt my motivation. Now I have the
information I need to effectively exercise like how long I should go for, how much
effort should I put into one day, and how much stretching should I before and after a
workout. I’ve felt the benefits of doing these things thanks to the assignments given
