ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The satisfaction & euphoria that accompany the successful completion of any task would be
incomplete without the mentioning of the people whose constant guidance & encouragement
made it possible.

We express our earnest gratitude to our internal guide Mr.RINKESH PATELfor his constant
support, encouragement and guidance. We are grateful for his cooperation and his valuable
suggestions. We are also very much thankful to Dr. PIYUSH JAIN, Head of mechanical
Engineering Department, who permitted us to work on the topic and gave his kind support and
help for the same. The enthusiasm shown by him in our project provide great source of
inspiration.

Finally, we express our gratitude to all other members who are involved either directly for the
completion of this project.

ABSTRACT

We have visited farms near the Sarbhon village. At there we have interacted with farmers and
workers. we have observe environment of the farm. we talk with farmers and try to understand
the problem they are facing.

Agriculture is the cultivation and breeding of animals, plants and fungi for food, fiber, biofuel,
medicinal plants and other products used to sustain and enhance human life.[1] Agriculture was
the key development in the rise of sedentary human civilization, whereby farming of
domesticated species created food surpluses that nurtured the development of civilization. The
study of agriculture is known as agricultural science. The history of agriculture dates back
thousands of years, and its development has been driven and defined by greatly different
climates, cultures, and technologies. Industrial agriculture based on large-scale monoculture
farming has become the dominant agricultural method.

A farm is an area of land that is devoted primarily to agricultural process with the primary
objective of producing food and other crops; it is the basic facility in food production. The name
is used for specialized units such as arable farms, vegetable farms, fruit farms, dairy & poultry
farm and land used for the production of natural fibres, biofuel and other commodities. It
includes ranches, feedlots, orchards, plantations and estates, smallholdings and hobby farms, and
includes the farmhouse and agricultural buildings as well as the land. In modern times the term
has been extended so as to include such industrial operation as wind farms and fish farm, both of
which can land or sea.

CH:1 INTRODUCTION

1.1 Introduction to agriculture farm

Modern agronomy, plant breeding, agrochemicals such as pesticides and fertilizers, and
technological developments have in many cases sharply increased yields from cultivation, but at
the same time have caused widespread ecological damage and negative human health effects.
Selective breeding and modern practices in animal husbandry have similarly increased the output
of meat, but have raised concerns about animal welfare and the health effects of the antibiotics,
growth hormones, and other chemicals commonly used in industrial meat production.
Genetically modified organisms are an increasing component of agriculture, although they are
banned in several countries. Agricultural food production and water management are
increasingly becoming global issues that are fostering debate on a number of fronts. Significant
degradation of land and water resources, including the depletion of aquifers, has been observed
in recent decades, and the effects of global warming on agriculture and of agriculture on global
warming are still not fully understood.

The major agricultural products can be broadly grouped into foods, fibers, fuels, and raw
materials. Specific foods include cereals (grains), vegetables, fruits, oils, meats and spices. Fibers
include cotton, wool, hemp, silk and flax. Raw materials include lumber and bamboo. Other
useful materials are also produced by plants, such as resins, dyes, drugs, perfumes, biofuels and
ornamental products such as cut flowers and nursery plants. Over one third of the world's
workers are employed in agriculture, second only to the service sector, although the percentages
of agricultural workers in developed countries has decreased significantly over the past several
centuries.

2.7 AEIOU FRAMEWORK SUMMARY

This framework help to refine our observation in single sheet called AEIOU summary sheet. We
included all mandatory and useful observation that can be summarize our work and can help in
designing next canvas.

2.8 EMPATHY MAPPING CANVAS

This canvas is about to focus on a user and to find the emotional aspect of that user. for that we
are going to design which involves our main use ,stakeholders , activities and story boarding.
stakeholders are the people who are directly or indirectly related to our main user. Here we
select our main user farmer.

CH:3 Ideation Canvas

Ideate is the mode your design process in which you aim to generate radical design alternatives.
Mentally it represents a process of “going wide” inter of concept sand out comes it is a mode
of “flaring” rather than “focus.” The goal of ideation is to explore a wide solution space –both a
large quantity of ideas and diversity among those ideas. From this vast depository of ideas you
can build prototypes to test with users.

Fig.3.1(a)-PEOPLE
In this ideation phase we included worker as user and stakeholders from the previous
canvas. Next section is activities which is the same from previous canvas. Next section is
Situation-When the use is doing the activity, Context For what purpose the user is doing the
activity Location-At which place user is doing the activity. And at the end Possible solutions that
can solve the problem.

CH: 4 Product Development Canvas

Fig.4.1- product development canvas

The product development canvas is totally based on specific product. That is how product is
useful to users which facilities and functions provided by that product and how it is differ from
recent market products that is what then idea behind the product and it is these on when real
engineering comes into the picture that is product development, Which will reduce the human
effort and help them to go easy with life and work.
