I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson the student should be able to:
a. Define Intentional Injuries and identify its type
b. Recognize the importance of having the knowledge about Intentional Injuries
c. Present a story Tableau that depicts the various types of Intentional Injuries
II. Subject Matter:
Topic: Intentional Injuries
Sub-topic: Types of Intentional Injuries (Self-Inflicted, Assault, Sexual Victimization and other
forms of abuse and harassment).
Materials: Visual aids, Laptop, Projector, Speaker

Direction: 2 or 3 students will analyze the image and explain their answer.

Self-inflicted- is something that you bring upon yourself or cause to have happen to you.
Assault- is an act that causes verbal or physical injury. Rape is an example of assault.
Victimization- is defined as causing someone to be treated unfairly or made to feel as
if he is in a bad position.
Extortion- (also called shakedown, outwrestling, and exaction) is a criminal offense of
obtaining money, property, or services from a person, entity, or institution, through
coercion.
d. Discussion:

INTENTIONAL INJURIES - injuries resulting from purposeful harmful


action upon oneself or others. .It can be divided into two: Self-inflicted, when a
person harms himself/herself on purpose and assault, when person /persons harm
another on purpose.

4. Do you have a similar experience or have you witnessed a situation similar to the news? Share
this with the class.
