Abstract:

Tours and Travel Management System (eTours), A Integrated Software for tour operating
companies which comprises all the tour industry related activities, Tour Operating Companies,
manages their Customers, Hotels, Vehicles and Agents and makes all operations of the tour company
easy and accurate. eTour –is an integrated solution designed specifically for medium and small tour
and travel companies to manage vehicle booking, ticket booking, package tour booking, hotel
booking. The program's interface is designed to be simple and its use can be grasped in minutes even
by inexperienced computer users.

Administrator can manage master database and update rate, tariff details. Staff can view
booking details and print various reports. System will have built in security features to handle logical
access management. This project proposal describes the software functional and nonfunctional
requirements for eTours – Tours and Travel Management System. This project report describes the
software functional and nonfunctional requirements for release 1.0 of the eTours system.

Scope and Features

 With eTours System there are no requirements to upgrade your computer system or spend
time and money on costly implementations and training.
 Very easy to use system that will show you all available booking in one click.
 Can add any number of customer and booking.
 Display Google map to find distance between two location, it helps in vehicle booking for
calculating distance
 Powerful search facility available for searching customer, hotel, vehicle and booking.
 Tour operator can view booking, and search customer.
 System should automatically calculate total amount receivables.
 System can generate income register by type of transaction.
 Store staff, vehicle, hotel images along with their details
 Provides various reports like, vehicle booking, ticket booking, hotel booking, package tour
booking, customer register, income register etc.

User Master, Vehicle Master, Hotel Master, Hotel Tariff, Package Tour, Hotel Booking,
Package Tour Booking, Vehicle Booking, Ticket Booking. Receive Payment, View Booking details
report, Income Report, etc.

Limitations of the Software:

This project was developed to fulfill user requirement; however there are lots of scope to
improve the performance of the eTours System in the area of user interface, database performance,
and query processing time. Etc.

Future Enhancements:

 Linking and integration with other legacy system for accounting.

 SMS and Email sending facility for booking confirmation
