INTRODUCTION

As a universal definition the Cemetery Mapping Technology is an integrated system for

those clients that needed to identify specific locations where the ground soil was previously

disturbed and provide an accurate cemetery mapping. Burial Site locating and Mapping grave site

locations provides a permanent record and a hassle free service [1] The Information System (IS)

refers to a collection of multiple pieces of equipment involved in the dissemination of

inforandmation. Hardware, software, computer system connections and information, information

system users, and the system’s housing are all part of an IS. An information system commonly

refers to a basic computer system but may also describe a telephone switching or environmental

controlling system. The IS involves resources for shared or processed information, as well as the

people who manage the system. People are considered part of the system because without them,

Having an accurate and up-to-date representation of the available property space is of prime

importance in sustaining the cemetery’s revenue stream. The Axiom Mapping solution takes the

next step in offering greater flexibility and mobility in making ‘out in the grounds’ grave/niche/crypt

selections ‘hassle–free’ experiences. [3]

According to Tan, the grave locator is a new search box where anyone could

accurately determine the exact location of the tomb of their loved ones. The websites also have

maps of both cemeteries, complete with street names and plot numbers of the graves. “High-tech

The typical project to build a base map is a two-step process. In the first step, the cemetery plat

with its subdivisions and grave sites is reconstructed by drafting it usCAD viewing a highly

accurate computer aided drafting (CAD)program. Stringent drafting requirements are followed to

digitize the boundaries and features within the cemetery property.[5] (SAME WITH THIS

The Panteon De Dasmariñas Public Cemetery is able to handle such a large database or record of

every person who passed away. Each of those records can indicate the location or the address of

each grave that are in the cemetery but it’s not precise.

In this matter, the proponents will be developing the CEMETERY MAPPING AND

INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR PANTEON DE DASMARIÑAS PUBLIC CEMETERY. The

system will be used for navigating or locating the relative’s grave in the cemetery and also providing

them a full information on how long their relatives have been deceased. The Information System

will be handling all of the records of every disease person who are buried in Panteon De

Dasmariñas.

Project Context

This capstone project entitled “CEMETERY MAPING AND INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR

PATEON DE DASMARINAS PUBLIC CEMETERY” is focused on implementing online based

Management Information System of the public cemetery and by showing the vicinity map of the

whole cemetery and providing the clients of full information of their deceased relatives but also

shows the unoccupied slots. This project was started last February 2019 and is expected to be

finished until the end of March 2019.

This project is intended to help the local government cemetery to have a Management Information

System so that the data’s given by the client will be secured and organized that can be viewed on the

website and can also save manpower and give an efficient service to their client .

Statement of the Problem

CEMETERY AND MAPPING SYSTEM.)

What are the ways to improve the management of the Panteon De Dasmariñas
Public Cemetery in terms of mapping the location of the tombs and providing information
about the corpse?

1. What are the difficulties that encountered by the relatives of the deceased in The
Pacheon De Dasmariñas Public Cemetery?
 Finding the grave of their deceased loved ones.
 Finding a place to entomb their deceased loved ones.
 Time and money consuming.
2. What are the problems in managing the records and documents of the deceased in
the Pacheon De Dasmariñas Public Cemetery?
 Verifying if it was a certified voter in the city.
 Verifying if it was a voter in their family.

Objective of the Study

The objective of this study is to improve the management and the service of the
Pacheon De Dasmariñas Public Cemetery in terms of developing a mapping system to for
the location of the tombs and providing information of the deceased using Cemetery
Maping and Information System for Pateon De Dasmarinas Public Cemetery.

1. Develop a mapping system that will help the relatives of the deceased in the
Pacheon De Dasmariñas Public Cemetery
 The grave/tomb of their loved ones.
 A place where able to entomb for their deceased loved ones.
 Reduce time and expenses.
2. Keep track the records and documents of the Pacheon De Dasmariñas Public
Cemetery
 Track the record of the voters.

Scope and Limitations

The study focuses on Cemetery Mapping and Information System for Panteon De

Dasmarinas Public Cemetery. The Mapping and Information System is for the use of the

visitors, customers and employees of The Panteon De Dasmarinas Public Cemetery. The

system has the map that helps the visitor to look for the grave. It also shows an

information of the specific grave (ELABORATE). The system can keep the records of

the occupant’s information like, name, lots, block, age, date of deceased and birthday.

For those who want to buy (IT IS FREE) a lot, there is a section of the system that they

can view the unoccupied or available lot and also it has an image of example lots.

However, the said Mapping and Information System is also having its own

limitations. The System can only holds the information of occupant’s information like,

name, lots, block, age, date of deceased and birthday. (ELABORATE)

Significance of the Study

The importance of the study can be clearly identified by outcome it provides to the

following group of individuals:

Administration. The propose system helped the client in terms of easy access and

reference of the information through online within the cemetery. And also to increase the

service of the said cemetery.

Visitors. This study will help the visitors to lessen the time in searching for

missing graves.

Researchers. This study will benefit of having the learning and apply the

knowledge that had been learned in creating the system. It also provides experience and

good communication skills in interacting to the future client.
