Item Analysis Worksheet 

Ten  students  have  taken  an  objective  assessment.  The 


quiz  contained  10  questions.  In  the  table  below,  the 
students’  scores  have  been  listed  from  high  to  low  (Joe, 
Dave,  Sujie,  Darrell,  and  Eliza  are  in  the  upper  half). 
There  are  five  students  in  the  upper  half  and five students 
in  the  lower  half.  The  number  “1”  indicates  a  correct 
answer  on  the  question;  a  “0”  indicates  an  incorrect 
answer.

Answer:
1. The easiest question was question 2, because the difficulty in this item is 1 which
more than .75 as it is a standard item.
2. The most difficult question was question 9, because this is the difficult item .40
which near to .25 that’s means this item is the difficult item.
3. Question 9 has the poorest discrimination, because it has a negative discrimination
index that is -0.4.that’s means the negative discrimination between -1 and 0
4. The question that i would eliminate was question 9, because it is the most difficult
item and it also has a negative discrimination index.
