this joyous affair. For without their support, this event would not be made possible. Ladies and
gentlemen, it is with great pleasure to introduce to you the groom’s parents (Groom’s parents)

“ And of course, we are truly happy to have there with us the parents of the bride, for without
them; this union wouldn’t even be possible (Bride’s Parents)

Grand Entrance of the Couple (Run Away)

“At this point I assume that everyone has settled down and we are all ready to welcome the
newlyweds. This day calls for a grand celebration and it is my distinct pleasure to introduce to
you for the very first time Michael and MYRIAM as husband and wife. So without any further
ado, let us all rise, dance to our heart’s content and give our warmest welcome to Mr. and Mrs.
Michael Polinar.”
----Couple

(As the couple reached on the center stage play the Shape on You)

First Dance/ Money Dance/ Prosperity Dance (Music to be played “Forevermore”)

FIRST DANCE: “Today is indeed a special day and will forever be etched in the memory of our
beloved couple. For today marks the beginning of their new life together. From this day forward
they shall be one, and on this joyful beginning what could be more fitting that to celebrate it
with the First Dance. The first dance is symbolic of the consummation of their wedding vows.
This dance is the wedding couple’s first cooperative engagement and joint endeavor. As the
saying goes, “It takes two to tango”. Ladies and gentlemen, it is once again my privilege to
present to you MICHAEL AND MYRIAM with their First Dance.”

FATHER TO THE BRIDE “ After the bride and groom share their first dance as a couple, the
father of the bride will dance with her father. As the father will always be a girl’s first and
greatest love, I know at this point a father couldn’t be any happier than to see his princess find
her prince.”

MOTHER TO THE GROOM “As the father is a girl’s first love, the mother will always be the
man’s ultimate love that is why, the mother of the groom will also share the dance floor with
her ever-loved son.”

MONEY DANCE “At this point we will proceed with another tradition in a Filipino wedding the
prosperity or the money dance. In this tradition money is pinned onto the new married couple’s
garment, representing the wish that good fortune is “rained” upon them, while also helping the
couple financially as they begin their life together. (Pero ang favorite digit number sa couple kay 4 digits and their
favorite color is light blue and yellow, bitaw favorite lang na nila clue nako ninju..don’t be pressured… any amount will do… hehehehe) For
us to have a smooth transition, each of the principal sponsors will be called. As I call your name,
please stand and you may pin your “rain of good fortune” to the newlywed as I call another
sponsor please give him/her the chance to “rain of good fortune” to the newlywed as well.
After the rest of the principal sponsors have danced with the couple, friends and other relatives
can now come to dance with couple as well.” (Different musics will be played here)

***15-20 minutes will do

*** See list of names to be mentioned.

SLICING OF THE CAKE

“Our next tradition is the slicing of the cake. May I request Groom and Bride to prepare for the
cake ceremony. The cake, which has been a part of wedding celebrations since the Roman
times, is a symbol of good luck and fertility. The sharing of this food symbolizes the couple’s
willingness to fulfill each other’s needs, creating a bond so simple and yet so strong.”

“ Let’s see who bites the bigger slice between the two.” ADLIB PART (ang dako ug makaon mao
pud kadako daw ang paghigugma)

GRACE BEFORE MEALS

“Aside from sharing this very special day with MICHAEL AND MYRIAM, I know that there is
something else that you all are waiting for….the dinner… Let us put ourselves in the presence of
God and acknowledge Him in our midst as we give thanks to His blessings that we are about to
partake”. May we call in Mrs. Bernarda Villarojo.

“God our Father, and Lord of all creation, We gather here now to
celebrate the love and commitment of Alger and Sheryl, as they share
their first meal together as husband and wife. We thank you for giving
your holy blessing today upon their marriage, and ask that you
continue to bless them with your love and mercy throughout their lives
together. Let this be the first of many loving meals shared together
with their family and friends, and blessed by your amazing grace. And
with Alger and Sheryl, as we are their family, friends and loved ones
gathered here in your presence, we ask for your holy blessing upon this
meal as together we say: Bless us, oh Lord and these thy gifts, which
we are about to receive from thy bounty through Christ our Lord,
Amen.”

“While we are eating our dinner tonight, we will be entertained with different songs by the MR.
MARLOUE MAHUMOT AND DECERYL GEN TUMAMPOS AND THE CHILL PITCH”

TABLE HOPPING FOR SOUVENIR PHOTO

“May I have your attention please, I guess by now everyone had their fill of our sumptuous
food. At this point the newlyweds would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone
personally for your presence. MICHAEL AND MYRIAM will now go from one table to another to
greet each and everyone and to have their souvenir picture taking with their guests.
Simultaneously, our Matron of Honor assisted with some members of the bridal entourage will
be distributing the wedding giveaways and will be routing the guest book so please stand by in
your seats.”

WINE TOAST

“Our next tradition is the wine toast. Raising a glass together is a way for everyone to share in
wishing good health and happiness to the newlyweds. As the wine is poured, our newlyweds
now make wishes for their good fortune, a better future and the best life possible for them. I
would like to invite everyone to raise their glasses to Groom and Bride and join them in their
fervent wishes through good fellowship and camaraderie, love and happiness.”

“May I call on the Best Man, Mr. Anabelle Joseph Don B. Patindol, to lead the wine toast and to
express all our wishes of good fortune for Michael and Myriam.”
