Onur Dülger was born in 1980, Istanbul. He took his BAs in composition at Istanbul University
as a student of Mete Sakpınar and at the University of Music Vienna as a student of Wolfgang
Suppan. He received 2 M.A.s from instrumental composition and electroacoustic composition at
University of Music Vienna. His teachers were Michael Obst, Karlheinz Essl, Chaya Czernowin.
He took a DMA from Boston University in the class of Joshua Fineberg.
His pieces are varying from solo pieces to orchestra and ensemble pieces with or without live-
electronics, which can be seen in three different periods. The last period focuses on sound as a
developing object which can be described as post-musique concrète instrumentale. His
compositions are performed in Turkey, Italy, Austria, Germany, USA, Mexico.
He received prizes from the Talente-Börse Ö1 (2011), Cepromusic (2013) Auftakt (2014), Sound
Icon (2015), Francisco Escudero (2015) and Theodor Körner Prize (2017).
