SUMMARY OF MY ACTION

• My action is to implement recycling at a community level in

Summit County. I am advertising this via social media and
different marketing campaigns. If can all work together to
lower the consumption of plastic use, and recycle the old
plastic we can lower emissions and oil use.

MY MESSAGE & MY AUDIENCE

• I want to give recognition to the amount of plastic used per

individual and household; Teach families about climate change
and what Is needed to prevent further damage to our
environment, and the actions that can prevent further warming of
the earth.
• I want my main audience to be a younger generation so that they
can develop these helpful habits at an early age. I think it is
extremely important to have an understanding of the causes and
effects of climate change and global warming.

WHAT WENT WELL

• More people than I thought are

extremely receptive to change
when it is for the benefit of
OUR environment! Giving the
correct information to inform
people of the repercussions of
climate change is huge, then
they have the needed facts
and information to make a
correct decision.
WHAT DIDN’T GO WELL..

• Not everyone is receptive to change, and even when it could

be for something so crucial like our endangered
environment. There are a lot of reasons I saw. 1. The effort
2. Un receptive 3. Do not believe in the problem of Global
Warming.
FUTURE DIRECTIONS

• I want to continue to be an advocate of recycling in the

Summit County and surrounding areas. Work together with
Recycle Utah to develop a better communication process to
reach more and more people. The more that know about
recycling and how important it is the better off we all are!

REFLECTION

• Throughout this course I have become very aware of the

impacts of Global Warming due to human activities. It is
alarming the rate at which things are changing, and how
crucial it is that change is made to save the Earth.
• It is very important and impactful because if action is not taken
the Earth cannot survive the destruction that we are causing,
and our future generations will not have a sustainable
environment to live in.
