Consider an industry or technology that you would like to disrupt. How

do the 6Ds apply?

Digitized

Consider industries, products, services, or technologies today that are on the brink of
digitization. How would digitizing these products change the industry?

Example: Music was digitized when CDs were born.

Primary health care delivery will be disrupted with person's profile and data
(including health records) are getting digitized

Deceptive

Think of a digitized product or service where potential for disruption has been
underestimated due to its Deceptive growth. What if you could better see the risks and
timing of disruption?

Example: Audio CDs deceptively sold like analog albums for a long time (more than 10
years). They were so profitable and popular the music industry couldn’t image life without
them. Until…
Today the delivery of primary health care seems to be impossible without
going to doctors and clinics

Disruptive

How might you or your work change when this product or service becomes Disruptive?
Are there trends that might disrupt you?

Example: The internet came along and as technology to share large amounts of data
became faster and cheaper, old business models were Disrupted.
With the data and information revolution and treatment alogrithms being
digitized , most of what the primary health care provider does today can be
done by a trained health care worker

The 6Ds of Exponentials

Dematerialize

Consider how Dematerialization would affect your chosen example. Are there
components that would become obsolete?

Example: CDs and CD players were no longer needed. Music files could simply be
downloaded to a smart phone.

With persons data, health records, spot diagnostics and treatment algorithms
all coded in , the need for human intervention for primary care will become
minimal

Demonitize

Reflect on how Demonetization would affect your chosen example. What would get less
expensive?

Example: Once the physical component was eliminated, the marginal cost of duplication
and sharing was nearly zero.
Once the physical component of primary health care delivery is minimized the
cost of replication of the same will be very minimal gradually moving to zero

Democratize

Finally, consider how this product or service might become easily available globally
without barriers. What are the benefits and challenges what could arise with
Democratization?

Example: Now, music files can be easily accessed by anyone around the world.
Since homo sapiens have the same body, the methodology of primary health
care can be available for access globally. This would also lead to regulatory
challange as to each country will have its own definition of the "trained"
manpower and systems to regulate multiple aspects of digitized health care
