Price Of Life is a mixtape album by Young Mahasi.

The mixtape was released under


YMA4 Music on January 18, 2019. The mixtape is the first solo project fully released by Young
Mahasi as a solo act. Production of the songs were handled by God Himself and Young Mahasi
as the two leads record producers of YMA4. It was released for free streaming and download
as a way of Young Mahasi showing off his full potential of freestyling. Full recordings of the
vocals by Young Mahasi were not written and the lyrics published online are Auto-generated
from the songs. The mixtape was supported by guest appearance from Drizzy Baby, Queen
Txhizzy and A4 as a half member of YMA4. The project is also the first full album by a solo
artist from Bakenberg. The mixtape officially was released on Young Mahasi's Soundcloud
account and YMA4's Audiomack account. The cover art of the album and the songs, they were
all designed by Young Mahasi and self-managed the mixtape. The mixtape contains a cover
song written and performed by Bob Marley from the album Uprising released in June 10,
1980. Is one of the remarkable mixtape that was released in South Africa.

RECORDINGS
The mixtape was recorded in 2018 to 2019 at South-Side Studios (Triple S), a home project
recording studio founded by Young Mahasi. All songs were produced, mastered and mixed by
Young Mahasi and God Himself. The songs from the album include secondary vocals from A4,
Drizzy Baby and Queen Txhizzy as featured artists those Young Mahasi decided to work with
on his first solo mixtape. All instrumentals used on the mixtape, the creators of the
instruments they were all credited as composers and arrangers of the instrumentals.

1. Intro
The song was record without any preparation of any content of the song name and the
instrumentals were composed by Tha Silent Partners. It's based on introducing Young
Mahasi as a solo artist. Introduction of the mixtape was the last recorded song from the
mixtape since the first part which was recorded as introduction of the song was removed
from the mixtape because of violence and too much obscene language.
2. Fly
Was recorded within 3 minutes and the content of the song was taken from the
instrumental name "Fye" and was changed to "fly" by Young Mahasi. The instrumental of
the song was composed by Yung Kartz. The song contains violent, threats and offensive
language.
3. Dead Inside
As it was recorded for Young Mahasi's project, A4 and Queen Txhizzy were invited as
featured guest artists on the song. A4 wrote his lyrics two days before the recording
session of the song and Queen Txhizzy wrote her verse the same night the song was
recorded at South-Side Studios together with Young Mahasi and A4.

4. You Broke You Go


It was recorded within 10 minutes and the hook was covered after the recording of the
long freestyle verse. The instrumental was composed by Superstaar Beats. The
instrumental was compiled by Young Mahasi's little brother Tee also known as Silver Saint.
It originate from I Wonder Why by Rick Ross released July 2013.
5. Hala
Was recorded in July 2018 for YMA4's project B.F.F Is Ready 2, since it wasn't completed
Young Mahasi completed the song around December 2018 and included the song as part
of his solo project. Young Mahasi invited Mayman to work with him on the song
unfortunately Mayman couldn't make it to the studio on time.
6. Stay Aside
Was composed by Yung Kartz and the song was arranged within a day after Young Mahasi
was done with other two unreleased studio songs. It contains sex tape and prison samples,
which were used for threats, sexual practice and explicit lyrics against other rappers.
7. Best Entertainers
The instrumentals used originally is from Lil Wayne's Rise Above featuring Drake and
originally was composed and produced by Kane Beatz on I'm Not A Human Being. Young
Mahasi and A4 featured their home associate act Drizzy Baby and he wrote his verse the
same night with Young Mahasi and A4 and delivered the verse after YMA4 wrote the hook
of the song. Drizzy Baby recorded his verse around 1:35am midnight and the session was
stopped until the morning and Young Mahasi recorded his freestyle verses and outro the
day after the session was stopped.
8. I See You
The song originally was named Haters I See You, it was released without correcting the
title and it remained as it is. The instrumentals was composed by Audiobinger and the song
was recorded straight from A to Z, after the recording of a long freestyle verse, Young
Mahasi cut the verses and recorded a chorus.
9. Redemption Song
Originally the song is written and performed by Bob Marley, Young Mahasi listened to the
cover of the song recorded and released by Rihanna for the Hope For Haiti Now campaign
in January 2010. The lyrics of the song were changed according to how Young Mahasi
wanted to cover the song using instrumentals composed by Audiobinger.
10. 22 Years Old Legend
The song was arranged within a day before the official release date. It was composed by
Audiobinger. It was recorded early 2019 before the official release of the mixtape. The
song reflected the correct age of Young Mahasi and contains motivational lines. During the
recording session of the song, Young Mahasi was inspired by a quote "21 Year Old Legend"
from a song Get Down by Lil Wayne, which made the content of the song.
11. Outro
It contains only vocals recorded for closing the statement of the mixtape. The song
contains hidden substance backward and during the recording session names of big acts
were included by Young Mahasi and removed by God Himself.
