Methodology:

The study is conducted by using both primary and secondary data. The methodology of this
study is elaborated below:

3.1 Type of Research:

This study will be an Exploratory research.

The objective of the research is to find out the current standards of the training system of
BangalCAT’s training & development system and it’s effectiveness. The main focus is on the
discovery of ideas and insights regarding the training system. That is why exploratory
research is best suited for this particular study.

3.2 Type of Data Used:

This study is conducted by using both primary data and secondary data.

3.2.1 Primary Data:

Primary data is data that is collected by a researcher from first-hand sources. This is actually
raw and unprocessed data. In this study, primary data is collected using methods like surveys
and interviews of concerned employees regarding the training process of BanglaCAT.

3.2.2 Secondary Data:

Secondary data is data gathered from studies, surveys, or experiments that have been run by
other people or for other research. This data is ready to use without any conversion. In this
study, secondary data is collected through online journals, company website, e-books,
research papers, company manuals and online articles.

3.3 Data Collection Process:

3.4 Sampling Plan:

3.4.1 Population:

Population is the total membership. It is the total numbers of people or objects which is the
subject of the study. In this study, the total population is 400, which is the total number of
employees of BanglaCAT throughout the country.

3.4.2 Sample Plan:

The study is done on the employees of different departments of BanglaCAT Head Office.
The sample size is 25.

3.4.3 Characteristics of Respondents:

The total sample size is 25 which includes employee from all of the departments, covering all
the hierarchical levels. The sample spread is shown through the following table:

3.4.4 Sampling Method:

The sampling method used in this study is non-probability convenience sampling for
collecting the information and identifying the respondents. The respondents were chosen
based on their relative ease of access and availability.

3.4.5 Sampling Frame:

The employees who are working in BanglaCAT Head Office.

3.5 Questionnaire Design:

Questionnaire was prepared with closed questions. Single set of questionnaire was developed
for all the respondents. The average time provided to fill up the survey question or face-to-face
interview was around 15 minutes. The nature of the questions used in the questionnaire is
closed questions with Likert scale. Each question has 5 alternatives to choose from to identify
the nature of opinion.

3.6 Data Analysis and Reporting:

The data collection period was 10 days. Respondents were properly briefed about the purpose
of the survey. The collected data was thoroughly scrutinized to avoid any error. Descriptive
statistical tools and graphical tools were used to analyze and interpret the data. The source of
value for all the calculation was Likert scale measurement value which was used in
questionnaire design.
