Project Overview

UNICEF aim to undertake a water quality assessment of the water points in UC31 to identify the
contaminated water points. WCSP can provide the consultancy services to UNICEF regarding
this project as we have an experience of more than 10 years in the field of water.

Scope of Services

 Project Feasibility Report

A comprehensive report covering all the aspect of mineral water plant, from bore hole to mineral
water packaged (final) product. All the Finance involved including HR, Covered Area,
Machinery, Allied Accessories etc.

 Site Selection

Site selection is the primary step in starting the bottled water business. Strategically, if a better
site is selected, it always results in competitive advantage. Site selection criteria guide you in
choosing best option.

 Bore & Installation site for Water Turbine

Water quality depends on the water table depth, aquifer composition recharge area & many other
parameters. Bore depth, Size of pipe, Pump Selection & much other issue related to the bore
whole can be handled by WCSP. We assist throughout the process by ERS to avoid, wastage of
resources (time & money).

 Water Sample Analysis

Source water quality (chemical & microbiological) plays vital role in installation of bottled water
plant. We have our own lab & reliable results producing labs to crosscheck these results.

 Project Supervision

Evaluation and comparison of optimal technology available and best suited for plant proposed
with recommendations. We can assist, supervise & inspect the entire work on regular basis &
will assure the quality & completion of work within a pre-defined time frame.

 Layout of Bottled Water Project

The layout can be provided for bottled water unit. It includes suggestion for the placement of
equipment i.e.

 Pumping station,
 Feed tank,
 Filtration (Sand, Carbon and Micron),
 RO,
 UV Disinfection,
 Re-mineralization,
 Ozonation,
 Product tanks,
 Packaging line including bottled coding and & sealing facility,
 Washing line (Re-filling of 19 lits SKU)
 Stacking position

It also include space allocation for water treatment plant, bottling plant, QC lab & pre-washing
area & to conform other allied bottled water industry protocols professionally.

 Water Treatment Line Diagram

Best combination of technology in a sequential manner which will make it State of the art bottled
water plant. Plant line diagram based on water chemistry will be labeled with all the required
qualitative & quantitative parameters.

 Sourcing of Equipments, Suppliers & Fabricator

Identification & Sourcing of local contractors of bulk (5L & 19L) bottle and cap facility along
with their technology comparison with specified strengths and weaknesses. Details of at least 3
different suppliers each (local and foreign) for equipment / plants (ISO certified) along with their
technology comparison with specified strengths and weaknesses, along with recommendation
and justification. We have a list of fabricator. Some parts of plant which are very expensive to
import, can be fabricated in equal quality in a cheaper price.

 Lab Setup

The lab is an integral part of bottled water plant. WCSP can provide consultancy for setup of
high standard lab. Installation of Quality Control Lab. It will consist of two wings, one is
chemical lab & other is microbiological lab. The lab will conform to all required testing
parameter compulsory by external (PSQCA) & internal protocols.

 Quality Assurance

Develop & Implementation of quality assurance system. Regular quality audits to crosscheck
implemented system. This includes provision of preventive measures and critical control points.

 EIA

Non-objection certificate (NOC) from EPA is important litigation for every project. WCSP
provides consultancy in this regard.

 Documentation

The documentation for the project include:

 Periodic maintenance, auditing and safety plan for plant, and storages
 Development of SOPs & GMPs.
 Quality manual
 Detailed required hygiene standards for plant and product
 Complete HACCP/ISO 22000 & good practice (GP) manual and procedures as per Codex
Alimentarius guidelines.

 Shelf Life enhancement

National/ International standards require some compulsory marking like date of manufacturing &
date of EXPIRY. Shelf life will be for a good period to make a good reputation. Some
company’s water spoils within its shelf life periods which make a nuisance & create
embracement for the company rather than business.

 Mineral Balancing / Taste Development

Every multinational brand has its unique taste reflecting company policy. We can develop any
taste demand by the client by mineral addition or re-mineralization

 Man Power

Total manpower (plant & lab) requirement and development of organizational structure
(Management/Non-Management) along with the portfolio/responsibilities for the Bottled Water
plant.

 Safety Solutions:

The services include determining the safety plan for the unit i.e. placement of raw material,
equipment spare parts, packaging material etc.

 Energy/Utility requirement

Estimation of Energy/Utility requirement for the bottled water project for all plants

 Technical Training

Training is very important in developing skills. Complete training & demonstration to the staff
hired for the bottled water plant

 Litigation Services

The services will be provided for obtaining license from Federal office (PSQCA) and Punjab
office (PFA).

 Budgeting

It includes all the total cost involved in installing bottled water plant. Cost break down & details
against each work segment. Optional value addition parameters will be mentioned separately.
