This is a specific example of determining the uncertainty of calibrating a resistance meter.
A 10 000 ohm resistor is being measured by the resistance meter being calibrated.
The calibration certificate for the resistor gives an expanded uncertainty of 0.15 ohm with a coverage factor of 2.3.
The resistance meter gives a standard deviation of 0.22 ohm for 10 repeated readings.
Measurements are carried out at about 25°C. The calculated uncertainty applies to the fully corrected values.
