COURSE SYNOPSIS

Entrepreneurship has become a major force in the global economy.


It is recognized that the economic growth and prosperity lie
in the hands of the entrepreneurs—the dynamic, driven
individuals who are committed to achieving success by
creating and transforming innovative ideas into marketable
products/services. Realizing its importance, this course seeks
UNIVERSITI SAINS MALAYSIA to introduce the concept of entrepreneurship and guide
School of Management student through the process of creating a successful new
venture. The course will also introduce the concept of “green
entrepreneurship” that reflects efforts to transform a sector of
Semester 2, Academic Session 2018/2019 the economy towards sustainability.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
The objectives of this course are:
Bachelor of Management 1. to expose students to the concepts of sustainable
entrepreneurship
2. to furnish students with both theoretical and practical
knowledge in developing and sustaining a venture; and
COURSE OUTLINE 3. to assist students in attaining entrepreneurial competencies
which can be applied in their work life.

ATW401 – ENTREPRENEURSHIP LEARNING OUTCOMES


At the end of this course, successful students will be able to:
1. explain the process of creating a new sustainable venture
2. conduct feasibility analysis to evaluate potential opportunities

 The chapters to be covered will be determined later.

EX 2) Essay (10%)
A  2 pages essay writing on productivity, entrepreneurship and the
M Industry 4.0 in collaboration with Malaysia Productivity

E 3) Ideas Drill Exercise (IDEX presentation) (10%)
 A maximum of 5 students in a group.
FINAL EXAM 1, 2, 3 1, 2, 3 K, C, AP, S, E  Students are required to prepare and present a written report on
the IDEAS DRILL as stipulated in the course content.

 Evaluation (E) The final exam portion for this course entails the following:
A 2-hour exam paper consisting of essay questions. The
SLT Descriptions Hours examination paper will be presented in both Bahasa Malaysia

IDEAS DRILL EXERCISE AND IDEAS DRILL REPORT (GROUP)

Those who fail to meet the minimum attendance requirements will be
barred from sitting the final examination.
