Observation 3

Age: 6

Physical Development:

The boy I watched was very hyper. He had a lot of energy and was moving around a lot. He was

jumping on the trampoline for a while and was not very tired. He also played around with a giant

bouncy ball and played catch with his friend.

Cognitive Development:

The boy I watched was mature in that he was learning to try to solve conflicts. He also taught

others how to play the video game they were playing. He wasn’t the best at explaining it but he

was trying.

Socio-emotional Development:

He interacted well with his friend however he argued a bit with his younger brother. However,

when they went to go to bed the brother and the friend were arguing because one of them wanted

to sleep with the lights on and the other one wanted to sleep with them off. He found a

compromise by moving a lamp in a place that wasn’t too visible to the one who wanted to be in

the dark but was for the one that wanted light.

Moral Development:
The boy seemed to be starting to have a sense of what’s considered morally wrong and right. At

one point he was bragging about how he knew all of the curse words, meaning he recognized

that’s something he’s not supposed to be saying and that they are bad​.
