Observation 4

Age: 7

Physical Development:

Nadine was very active and enjoyed doing physical activities. One of the things that she loves

doing is gymnastics. Over the time I was watching her, she would often randomly do cartwheels

and other moves that's she’s learned. She was running around and playing tag with me for a

while. She also did activities like painting as well as we played board games and did puzzles for

a little bit.

Cognitive Development:

Nadine is very smart and often would say random facts that she knew or point out things she

observed. She enjoys doing puzzles with helps her cognitively. We played some board games

and there were some that she had trouble understanding at first but when I explained them they

made sense to her. She talked a lot and was very creative. She would always say what she

wanted to do and picked activities for us to do without me making suggestions.

Socio-emotional Development:
Nadine is a very social person. She loves talking and interacting with others. She’s definitely

improved emotionally, when I first watched her 3 years ago she would cry about silly things, but

since then she had matured more. She gets into arguments with her brother a lot but she handled

them better than she used to. However, if she saw her brother doing something bad she would

still tell me and then tell her parents when they got home.

Moral Development:

Nadine’s morals have improved in the sense that she knows what is right and wrong based off of

her parent’s rules. She is able to recognize when her brother wasn’t doing something he’s

supposed to and when he would lie to me and tell me he’s allowed to do things he’s not. They

also got into a small argument about what tv show to watch, and instead of being stubborn like

she used to be, she told him that they would take turns picking episodes which shows she’s

maturing.
