ADEC Learning Outcome: Classify, identify phonic sounds in writing and reading.

Prior Knowledge: In Grade 1, students were using simple words such as, chicken, birds, and chees, etc...
So, I will introduce words, and I will show them phonic sounds to make sure they now the sounds. Also,
the sounds and the simple words they already know it’s will help them to understand better.
Subject Matter: What is the topic of my lesson?
Lesson Objectives: phonic sounds
By the end of the lesson, students will be better able to identify, read and write or say the sounds of the
words such as, ch, ing, sh, etc..

Lesson Activities/Procedure:
I. Preparation
Before start the lesson five minutes the teacher will do the routine which is she will welcome the student
and she will take students attendance.
II. Presentation
Starter: 5 mins
At the beginning of the class inform students that we are learning about phonic sounds. Then, I will show
them a song about phonic sounds.
Activity 1: look and circle the sound (5min)
In this activity the teacher will use the power point to show them pictures and she will choose a student
to come up and circle the first sound that the picture start with on the board .

Practice
Activity 2: write the sound (7min)
In this activity the teacher will gives each group picture cards and the students must stick the letter to
write the name of the picture, then they must write the first sound of the picture. Also, they will use the
crayons to colour some pictures .(A group activity)
Activity 3: Write the missing vowel?(5min)
In this activity I will give each student a worksheet, and they must write the missing vowel, and when
they are finish I will check the answer with the whole class.

IV. Production/Evaluation
Activity 6: Close your eyes and draw?(5)
At the end of the lesson I will write four different sounds .Then, I will choose four students to come in
the front of the class to draw something about the sound.

Evaluation / Assessment:
At the end of the lesson I will write four different sounds .Then, I will choose four students to come in
the front of the class to draw something about the sound. This activity is will help to check and evaluate
student understanding.

Personal focus:
In this lesson I will focus of making different activities that are suitable for student’s level and they will
get enjoyment to be easy for them to understand .I think my activities are authentic and purposeful
because, the students will learn in different way by using different learning style. Also, I will focus of my
language to be easy for them to understand.

smaller, and smallest in writing and reading.

Prior Knowledge: In Grade 1, students were using simple words such as, big, and small .So, I will
introduce more comparison words such as, big, bigger, biggest, small, smaller, and, smallest words. The
simple words they already know it’s will help them to understand better.
Subject Matter: What is the topic of my lesson?
Lesson Objectives: comparison
By the end of the lesson, students will be better able to identify, read and write or say these comparison
words.

Lesson Activities/Procedure:
I. Preparation
Before start the lesson five minutes the teacher will do the routine which is she will welcome the student
and she will take students attendance.
II. Presentation
Starter: 7 mins
At the beginning of the class inform students that we are learning about comparison, and tell them the
specific words they will learn. Then, I will display pictures on the board using PowerPoint for the
explanation.
After that, I will show them a video for better understanding.
III.
Practice
Activity 1: Look, listen, and jump? (5min)
In this activity the teacher will choose two boys to stand up then, she will shows them pictures in
different size and she will shows them for example, the biggest bird and the student must jump on the
word that describe the size of the picture.

Activity 2: Where is the correct place of the square? (8min)


In this activity the teacher will hand out a schedule and different size of squares for each child, and
students must stick the squares in the correct place depending to thee size written in the schedule.

IV. Production/Evaluation
. Activity 3: ordering pictures (5min)
In this activity I will stick different size of an elephants and birds cards on the board. Then, I will choose
different students to come up to order the elephants and the birds depending of the size of the elephant
and the birds.

Evaluation / Assessment:
At the end of the lesson I will stick different size of an elephants and birds on the board. Then, I will
choose different students to come up to order the elephants and the birds depending of the size of the
elephant. This activity is will help to check and evaluate student understanding.
Personal focus:
In this lesson I will focus on making different activities that are suitable for student’s level and they will
get enjoyment to be easy for them to understand .I think my activities are authentic and purposeful

reading.

Prior Knowledge: In Grade 1, students were using simple words such as, fish, fun, and fog, etc... So, I
will introduce words, and I will show them the sound “Ff” to make sure they now the sounds. Also, the
sounds and the simple words they already know it’s will help them to understand better.
Subject Matter: What is the topic of my lesson?
Lesson Objectives: The sound “Ff”
By the end of the lesson, Students will be able to identify words that begin with the letter F. Students will
be able to make the sound of the letter F
Lesson Activities/Procedure:
I. Preparation
Before start the lesson five minutes the teacher will do the routine which is she will welcome the student
and she will take students attendance.
II. Presentation
Starter: (7 min)
 At the beginning of the lesson I will display images of things that begin with F so that all of my students
can see them. Possible images could include: flag, frog, fish, , fox, etc.
 Second, I will go through the items one-by-one, having your students say the name of each item aloud.
 Third, ask students what all the pictures have in common. After a few students answer, explain that today
the class will be learning about the letter F, tell them that the letter F makes the /f/ sound. Make the /f/
sound.

Practice
Activity 1: Tracking images (3min)
In this activity the teacher will give a sheet contains many different pictures with a small cube, and the
students must tracking the pictures using the cube to try to pronounce the name of the pictures.
Activity 2: Build a word (3min)
In this activity the students will take one image and they must build the name “a word” of the picture
using the magnetic letters or if they want to write using their own pencils.
Activity 3: What begins with f? (3min)
In this activity students must match all pictures that start with F sound in the worksheet.
Activity 4: Draw anything begin with f? (3min)
In this activity students will take an empty paper to draw anything begins with f sound.
Activity 5: Make a necklace of words? (3min)
In this activity students will have a string and different pictures so, they must choose all the images begin
with f to make a necklace of words.

Evaluation / Assessment: (2min)


 At the end of the lesson will tell the students to listen carefully as I call out different words. When they
hear a word that begins with the letter F, instruct them to wiggle their hands like a fish. I will demonstrate
this motion.

Prior Knowledge: In Grade 1, students were using simple words such as, on, and in. So, I will introduce
new preposition words to make their language strong and I will teach them the preposition words. Also,
the simple words they already know it’s will help them to understand better for example they know the
word on, up, bottom.
Subject Matter: What is the topic of my lesson?
Lesson Objectives: preposition
By the end of the lesson, students will be better able to identify, read and write or say at least two
preposition words such as, between, beside, above, in front of ,behind, inside, outside, below etc..

Lesson Activities/Procedure:
I. Preparation
Before start the lesson five minutes the teacher will do the routine which is she will welcome the student
and she will take students attendance.
II. Presentation
Starter: 5 mins
At the beginning of the class inform students that we are learning about preposition. I will explain the
lesson by use PowerPoint and show the students pictures of preposition to understand, and at the same
time to pronounce the words.
Activity 1: move your body (2min)
Firstly, the teacher will stand in front of the class and she will show the students the meaning of
preposition. Then, she will choose three students to come in front of the class, and she will give them
instructions to move with their bodies behind, between, beside, etc..
After that, I will show them a video about preposition to make sure they are understood before they start
to do the independent activity.

III. Practice
Activity 2: Where is the ball?
In this activity I will give the children crayons. Then, I will hand out a worksheet, and they must colour
where the ball is. At the same time I will walk around to correct their sheets.
Activity 3: Write where is the animal?
In this activity I will stick pictures to describe the preposition in each group, then I will give each child a
picture with a sentence and they must write the preposition of the animal. When they are finish I will
choose one student from each group to read his sentence.

IV. Production/Evaluation
Activity 3: Close your eyes and chose?
At the end of the lesson I will do a kenstaic learning style as a revision for the students. So, In this activity
I will bring a cat toy with a box and I will put it in front of the class, and I will chose a student to come
and I will close his eyes to choose a preposition word .Then, depending to the word he chosen he will do
the preposition using the box and the cat toy.

Evaluation / Assessment:
I will ask the students a questions to evaluate their understanding for example of these questions,
What’s mean behind? Ask the students to stand between two boys.

Prior Knowledge:

In Grade 3, students were using simple words such as, night, light, Moon etc. So, I will introduce new
compound words to make their language strong and I will teach them to use compound words. Also, the
simple words they already know it’s will help them to understand better for example they know the
word Sun, the compound words will be Sunlight or
Sunshine.

Subject Matter: What is the topic of my lesson?


Lesson Objectives: Compound words
By the end of the lesson, students will be better able to identify, read and write at least six compound words
such as, Sunlight, Daytime, Nightclothes, Moonlight, Nigh time
And Daylight.
Lesson Activities/Procedure:

A. Preparation

Before start the lesson five minutes the teacher will do the routine which is she will take
students attendance and review the previous words from the last lesson.

Starter: 5 mins

B. Presentation

At the beginning of the class inform students that we are learning about Compound words. I will
explain the lesson by use PowerPoint and show the students the definition of compound words and
showing them examples of compound words.

C. Pratice
After that, the Teacher will hand out the words and syllables in different colour and each student
must try finding the syllables of another word from her friend by moving in the class. Then, The
teacher will check their work by let the students read their words.

Secondly, the teacher will start with the activities and she will explain each activity one by one.

First activity 10 mins

I will hand a worksheet and they must compound the words in the worksheet .After they are
finished the teacher answer the worksheet with them to let them correct their mistakes.
Second activity 10 mins

The teacher will put on each group an envelope that’s contain of compound words and each student
in group must pick up one word and write two sentences in the worksheet. Then, from each group
one student will come in front of the class to read her sentences.

Third activity 5 mins

The teacher will hand out small paragraph for each group and they must work together to find
compound words .After they are find the words the teacher will choose from each group one
student to come in front of the class to read their words.

At night-time, Ali looked at the moonlight in his

played at the park in the sunlight.
All recourses I will need
I will need printed words in different colours to hand out for students.

I will need projector to explain and shows students the power point.

I will need tiny printed compound words with envelop to put in the envelop the words for each group.

Prodcution/Evaluation / Assessment:

At the end of the lesson I will do an oral revision with them by asking them questions for
example, what did you learn from this lesson? Who can tell me compound words?

Then, I will ask them to write five compound words in a small paper and I will let each
student to read the words that she wrote and I will correct their mistakes immediately as
a formative assessment.

In this lesson I am working on my language and making different activities that are suitable
for student’s level and I think my activities are authentic and purposeful because, the
students will learn in different way by using different learning style.
