Introducción
Objetivos:
• Distribuir la generación total entre las unidades en servicio, minimizando el costo de
suministrar la demanda, incluyendo la red de transmisión y respetando las
restricciones de operación del sistema y de las unidades generadoras.
Consideraciones generales:
• El OPF se maneja en intervalos de tiempo en el rango de minutos y horas.
• Se toma en consideración la espacialidad de la demanda y generación, modelando el
sistema de transmisión.
• Para la determinación del OPF el operador necesita conocer las características de
cada unidad generadora y el costo del combustible.
• Como resultado del OPF se obtiene la asignación de generación de cada unidad a
mínimo costo.
