It’s 2019 and graphic design has
never been easier.
With all of the facinating tools coming into the
market place, we are entering the age of do it
yourself design... and when I say D.I.Y... I mean on
your PHONE!

To start, let’s talk about some basic design rules.

Keep it simple.

Keep fonts to a minimum! I rarely use more than 2

different type faces on any one design.

Keep colors consistent and simple. Make sure they

have good contrast, and make sure that all of your
text can be easily read.

Don’t go too crazy with different textures and

images. Make sure that your background doesn’t
make it difficult for your audience to read your
text.

White space is important.

Give your design some

room to breathe. White
space keeps things clean
and helps you avoid
chaotic design.

Meet The Over App

The Over app is an app for your phone. You can

find it in the Google Play Store for Android, and in
the App Store for Iphone.

Using this app will unlock your potential as a

business owner. You can create all kinds of things
for your business any time, anywhere, directly on
your phone:

Create logos, Online Ads,

Instagram and Facebook
Stories, Social Media Posts,
Flyers, Posters, Invitations,
and much more.

When you open the Over

App and you will land on the
‘Discover’ screen. This area
is full of articles to help you
find inspiration for your
current project.

Let’s take a look at the

bottom menu to see what
else we can achieve with

Check out what others are creating and
use their creations for yourself.

Templates
Choose from pre-made templates.

Create
Create something from scratch.

Teams
Collaborate with a team by purchasing a
team subscription plan.

Projects
Take a look at everything you have
created in the past and start from there.

 Templates
Pre-made projects that are
ready for your creative
touch. Just press on a
template that you like and
edit it to meet your needs.

Projects
The ‘Projects’ section is one
of Over’s best features.
Press the ‘Projects’ button
on the bottom home screen
menu to see and modify all
of your past designs.

Create
Would you like to create a
project from scratch?! No
problem. Press the yellow
circle at the bottom of the
home screen to start fresh!
You can start with a:
- Template
- Image or video
- Transparent background
- Colored background

Template

To add an image, simply

press on the the image area
of the template to choose
your photo.

Edit your background color

by pressing the background.

To edit the text, press the

text and you will see a new
text menu:

Edit
Change the size, color, curve,
spacing and much more!

Change Text
Edit the words of your text.

Duplicate
This feature creates a new text
layer that is identical to your
current text.

Delete
Delete your text layer.

Copy
Copy your text so you can paste it.

Transparent Background

If you select a transparent

or colored background, it
will send you to a screen to
choose the size of your
project.

Over allows you to choose

different sizes based on
your favorite social media
platforms!

Once you are in the design
section, you will see a
bottom and top menu.

Let’s explore these.

Top Design Menu

Layers
Change the way your elements are stacked
by moving them in front of, or behind each
other.

Undo
Make a mistake?? No problem, just press the
undo button to go back a step.

Close Your Project

Don’t worry, youcan find all of your old
projects in the ‘Projects’ section!

Save Your Project

Happy with your creation?! Time to save it!
Press this button to save your project to your
phone.

Let’s look at each section in depth, starting

with ‘Image’

Photos
Personal phone photos

Favorites
Personal Favorites photo

 Image Menu

The image menu is very straight forward. Explore

these options to see all of the awesome things that
you can do with Over! To edit your image, simply
press the image and select ‘Edit’

 Text Menu

Add text to your project! Type your text and select

the perfect font for your project. You can also add
new fonts to your app, change text color, size, letter
spacing, alignment, shadows, curve, and much more!

 Graphics

Add graphics to your project! Graphics are created

by artists. They have transparent backgrounds, which
makes them perfect to lay on top of your design.

Collected
Collect your favorite graphics by
pressing the plus sign in the bottom
right corner of the graphics.

Library
Check out all of the new graphic
packs here

Logos
Add your own logos and keep them
in your Over app!

Latest
See the latest individual graphics
here.

In ‘Library’ select a pack to see

individual graphics inside of that
pack.

All graphics inside of the same

pack will have a consistent
theme.

Press the plus sign to add this

graphic to your ‘Collection’

 Graphics Menu

To place a graphic onto your

project, just click the graphic
you would like to add, then
press the yellow check mark in
the top right corner.

Once you have placed your

graphic, you will find that the
Graphics Menu is very similar
to the Image Menu!

You can use this menu to edit

your graphic to your liking.

Shapes Menu

Add shapes to your project by

pressing the ‘Shape’ button
and selecting the shape that
you would like to add.
PRO TIP:
Use the color picker to pick a color from
your project. You can hover over the pink
flowers to select a consistent shade of pink.

You can also turn the color off completely

and add a border. This would result in a
transparent triangle with a pink border.

 Video

Add videos to your project by pressing the ‘Video’

button. This option is great for Facebook and
Instagram Stories, as well as social media posts!

Videos
Choose from videos on your phone.

Stock Video
Choose from Over’s stock videos.

Once you select the video that

you would like to add to your
project, you will be able to
trim the video to your liking.

 Video Menu

Add videos to your project by pressing the ‘Video’

button. This option is great for Facebook and
Instagram Stories, as well as social media posts!

After trimming your video, you

will be back on the design
screen. Click on your video to
edit it.

The video editor is very simple.

Select from filters, adjust, size,
rotate, and nudge to edit your
video.

Design Menu Options

Let’s take a closer look at the options available within

our design menus.

Filters: Choose from pre-made filters to change

the look of your selected element.

Adjust: This tool is huge, as you scroll through

the options you will see: Exposure, Contrast,
Saturation, Warmth, Fade, Highlights, Shadows,
Vignette, and Sharpen.

Crop: Crop your element.

Size: Re-size your element.

Shadow: Add a shadow to your element. You

can play with blur options, shadow color,
shadow opacity, and shadow angle.

Opacity: Modify the opacity of your element.

Rotate: Rotate your element.

Blur: Blur your element.

Tint: Add a color tint to your element.

Nudge: Move your element by pixel using up-

/down/right/left arrows.

Mask: Use your finger to erase part of your ele-

ment, resulting in transparency.

Blend: Change the blend of your element. Blend

options include: Normal, Multiply, Lighten,

And... It’s A Wrap.
