Participation in the Hollywood Fringe is completely open and uncensored. This free-for-all ap-
proach underlines the festival’s mission to be a platform for artists without the barrier of a curative
body. By opening the gates to anyone with a vision, the festival is able to exhibit the most diverse
and cutting-edge points-of-view the world has to offer. Additionally, by creating an environment
where artists self-produce their work, the Fringe motivates its participants to cultivate a spirit of
entrepreneurialism in the arts.
HOW TO FRINGE
TICKETS
Tickets to all productions (including some last-minute additions that aren’t included in this printed
guide) are available at www.hollywoodfringe.org. Online sales for all performances typically end
1-4 hours before the start time. Tickets to all shows may be purchased at the Fringe Concierge
(6450 Santa Monica Blvd). Hours are M-F 5:00-10:00 PM, and 2:00-10:00 PM on weekends.
You may also purchase tickets by calling 323-455-4585 (additional fee applies). Tickets will also
be sold at the door of most performances.
REVIEWS
Giving feedback to an artist about their work or suggesting a show you loved to a friend are
powerful contributions to the arts. Write reviews for individual Fringe shows at
www.hollywoodfringe.org, or update your own blog, Twitter or Facebook account with your unique
point of view (and be sure to use the hashtag #hff19 and post on the Fringe Facebook page).
These reviews are essential when audiences have so many shows from which to choose.
COMMUNITY AWARDS
Participating in the community by seeing shows, producing projects, hosting venues and writing re-
views automatically makes you eligible to receive a ballot for our community-voted Fringe Awards,
which can lead to big successes after the Fringe for the winners! Come to the Awards Ceremony
on June 30th (see p. 102) to see who wins!
FRINGE CONCIERGE
Need to buy a ticket? Browse Fringe merchandise and flyers? Or just looking for help navigating
this enormous festival? Join us at Fringe Concierge at 6450 Santa Monica Blvd. Fringe staffers
are standing by to help you with all your fringey needs. You can also buy a festival button or pick
one up bought online. Hours are M-F 5:00-10:00 PM, and 2:00-10:00 PM on weekends.
Buttons are your community badge identifying you as a Fringe citizen and
are a necessary accessory when attending Fringe-sponsored events. Wear
it with pride! If you see someone with a button, consider asking them about
their Fringe experience thus far: shows they loved, shows that inspire,
shows they’d avoid. The best way to plan your days is through word-of-
mouth from fellow Fringers. Your Fringe Button also provides perks:
• $1 off one ticket per performance on tickets sold through the Fringe
• $1 off drinks at Fringe Central
• Discounts at participating Fringe Hot Spots, listed on pages 14-15
• Entry to Fringe-sponsored events
• Evidence that you are a member of the Fringe community and a supporter of the arts
The button costs $5. You can purchase a button online (www.hollywoodfringe.org/cart) or at the
Fringe Concierge (6450 Santa Monica Blvd). Buttons purchased online can be picked up at the
Fringe Concierge.
FRINGE COMMUNITY
Community is central to the Hollywood Fringe. We bring together theatre makers and theatre lov-
ers in a glorious celebration of the performing arts. Interested in tapping into the community? Here
are some opportunities to meet, eat and drink with real Fringers:
June 5: Fringe Runway/Office Hours (p. 103)
FRINGE CENTRAL
The community center of the festival where you can find Bryan’s Bar, Fringe Concierge, festival
staff, guides, merchandise, impromptu events and more. This year, Fringe Central is located at
6450 Santa Monica Blvd (La-La Land Gallery). See the back of this guide for hours and more
information. Don’t miss the chance to make important Fringeships and interact with the community!
GETTING AROUND
We believe the best ways to experience the Fringe are by bike or on foot. Get exercise and protect
the environment! Most of the venues are within walking distance of each other, so it’s possible to
see four or five shows in close proximity all in one day. Use this Guide (and the Map on the back
page) to plan your day accordingly. Most of all, be safe!
Public Transportation
L.A.’s public transportation system (the Metro) includes buses and rail lines. There are two Holly-
wood stops (Red Line) indicated on the Map (at the back of this Guide). You can plan your public
transportation trip using the Metro Trip Planner at www.metro.net.
Parking
If you must drive, please keep in mind that parking in Hollywood can be difficult on evenings, week-
ends and street cleaning days, so make sure to allow for extra time. Always read the posted signs
as most areas are restricted at certain times. There are many pay-to-park lots with flat rates from
$8 to $15. There is also a good amount of street parking to be found on smaller streets.

FRINGE SOCIAL
HUBS
These bars are deeply invested in Fringe, and
serve as a rallying point, a breakroom between
shows, and a place to meet other Fringers and
talk about all you have seen. They all offer button
discounts, and some will feature drinks spon-
sored by Fringe productions. There are even
some restaurants for Fringers under 21 or those
who abstain from #drinkingaboutfringe!
