ABSTRACT

Almost every year the fire problem always happens in every city in
Indonesia. In addition, many office buildings or other public places that still have
not completed the facilities therein with adequate fire fighting system so it is a
risk of large losses in the form of casualties and material when the fires happens.
Therefore, in this practical work, the author will discuss the design of the
installation of fire fighting system in the Gamma Irradiator building located in the
PUSPIPTEK area Serpong South Tangerang. Installation a fire fighting system
has several important components of a fire hydrant system, fire extinguisher
system, water pumps, pipes and deluge valve system. All planning and the design
of the installation of fire fighting system must be accordance with Indonesian
National Standart, NFPA and local government regulations.
