Software Requirements
Microsoft WindowsXPSP2, Server2003, or Windows2000.
This is a DirectX 9 driver, as indicated by the DX driver prefix version (6.14.10.xxxx).

Resolutions Supported
In general, the driver supports all modes supported by the video BIOS, then prunes out those
modes that cannot be supported due to customer request, bandwidth limitations, etc.

The following list contains the modes with available refresh rates that the driver permits although
possibly with restrictions (e.g. mode permitted only if panel size matches this resolution).

Bpp for all modes:

The bpp support for all modes are 8bit, 16bit and 32bit.
Although normal 8bpp modes are supported, but 8bpp rotation modes are blocked for hardware
limitation.

HDTV modes:
All HDTV modes are available only when HDTV is activated

1. LCD change to centering mode when we select resolution less panel resolution 1280x800.
2. The "display properties" will show 3 monitors (monitor 1 is external VGA card and the other
two are internal VGA card).(Internal VGA card VGA BIOS is CRT only, external VGA card are
PCI and PCI-E)
3. Run SystemMark 2007 Preview, the AP will appear error message.
4. Run ViewPerf10 (Run All Tests 1280x1024) cause the AP stop or appears “ViewPerf.exe has
stopped working” message.

1. HDTV only: Enable HDTV only at the first time, the display will discolor. (After press "Default"
button in the HDTV Adjustment page, the color setting will pass.)
2. Enable CRT1+CRT2 with Dual CRT BIOS, the screen resolution only support 1024x768
3. Turn on/off the lid switch many times (set "Do nothing") during resume from S3/S4, LCD will
appears white screen.
4. LCD display white screen awhile when resume from S4.
5. Driver score (20-XX-XX serial) is lower than old driver (15-13-15-XX serial) when run
PCMark05 GFX test under XP-SP2

1. Add 4 part ID for Windows Update.
2. CRT Only: Install WinDVR 3.0B043(Mpeg2 codec:3.2.41.195) and play MPEG2 file with
MediaPlayer 9/10/11, system bluescreen(0x8E). (Check Nvidia 6600GT and ATI X550
pass; S3G Matrix fail)
3. CRT Only: It will display garbage when the character frame is circled on office2000
excel.
4. DVI+CRT SAMM: Run DX8.1a DirectDraw Samples (Multimon), the "Sprite2 Shared
System memory copy" sample display flicker on CRT screen.
5. TV Only: Run DX8.1a DirectDraw Samples (Multimon), caused the display crush.

1. CRT2 only displayed mouse icon when booting to XP. It can be enabled from S3 utility “S3
Gamma Plus”
2. CRT2 playing 3DMark01se will display flicker (texture error, abnormal) when SAMM enabling.
3. LCD only: Run OpenGL screen saver "3ALine", the LCD display flickers. (A2 fail)
4. CRT only: Run OpenGL screen saver “3ALine” caused the system hang
5. Game (LineageII online): Can’t entry game with AMD Conroe E6300 CPU. Error Message
"GetRender Target failed(D3DERR_INVALIDCALL)
6. Game (Lineage 2 Online): Can't play the game.It will appear "Critical error" message.
