AN INTERVIEW CONDUCTED TO AN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MAJOR

I’d conducted an interview from an IT Major because I wanted to know what should I expect from my chosen

course in the future and also to prepare myself from the upcoming situations that might happen within my college

life. Prince Ni, the interviewee that graduated in Philippine Cultural College with the course of Information

Technology, is now working as a web developer. He knows a lot of advance programming languages, which I will

encounter and learn during the progression of my college life. He chose IT as his profession because he has a

passion to learn more about the technology era which is famous now that we are in the millennial era while I chose

IT mainly because I like technology.

I’ve asked a lot of questions regarding my course that he briefly answered and explained. These questions include

what programming languages he used, how he managed all his projects when under pressure, and also what did he

do first when creating new ideas.

I asked him what programming languages he can work with, he responded that he use HTML, CSS, JavaScript,

Word press. He also said that they are easy to learn, easy to develop new things with them, and also easy to work

around with them.

I asked him another question which is how he can approach high pressure situations when everything goes wrong,

he said that when he face a difficult situation, he take a break, just pause, take a little breather, then work again. He

added that his experience working with a project where he doesn’t have any knowledge about that kind of plug-in

so he watches videos that demonstrates the work and try to mingle with it and finally succeeded in doing the

project.

Another question is that what he did first when creating new ideas. He replied that he think about it and think of

what will he do, what programs and tools will he use and think of what will he encounter on doing that particular

project so that he will not have a hard time on thinking how to do it, because he already prepared before doing it.

Through this interview I found out a lot of things that is related to Information Technology and what he did to

survive college. I also learned how to manage things while under high pressure. For me Prince Ni is a good role

model of a graduate from the course of Information Technology.
