Utilized 100% of the Member of Parliament
Local Area Development (MPLAD) funds
allocated for an MP in 5 years.
Encouraged citizens for implementation of zero
garbage and effective waste management in
the constituency. Citizens of Kamgar Nagar,
with support from my MPLAD funds, created
the 1st successfully executed model and were
felicitated by Loksatta under the Green Society
competition. This project has benefitted 384
families
Supported the Pali Hill Residents' Association
who have worked on a project on waste
management & self-generation of electricity.
This project has helped to operate street lights
of the vicinity.
Spreading the message of Cleanliness,
Hygiene and Sanitation together with
Swachhalay, an NGO run by youngsters,
that has conducted programs by
involving young students from schools
and colleges across Mumbai.
Swachhalay has recently opened its
chapters outside Mumbai in cities like
Delhi, Bangalore, Bhopal, Raipur and
Surat to name a few.
GLOBAL CITIZEN INDIA FESTIVAL was
organized for the 1st time in India at BKC,
Mumbai and was aimed to work on the
U n i te d N at i o n ' s 4 t h , 5 t h a n d 6 t h
Sustainable development goals (SDGs) of
Quality Education, Gender Equality and
Clean water & sanitation. The event, which
happened for the 1st time in India, brought
together renowned personalities from
various fields across the world with Chris
Martin & Coldplay Band as its main
attraction. The event raised Rs. 43146
crores ($ 5.9 Billion) that are utilized to
work on the 3 SDGs and are set to uplift the
lives of 51.6 crore Indians. Honourable
Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi
ji addressed the event where he thanked
people for supporting the cause thereby
making it a mass movement to bring about
positive change in the society.

community halls, paver blocks in
societies, indoor and open gymnasiums, Dedicated Ulta Chaata - unique umbrella-

Supported Mumbai University
students' group who run SHE
(Standardizing Hygiene Evolution)

importance of Swachh Bharat. The
group conducted various events
like cleaning of Devka beach in
Daman, distributing free sanitary
napkins to the school children and
cleanliness drives at different parts
of Mumbai.
Beyond Politics
Organized “ELEPHANT PARADE INDIA” the
biggest ever public exhibition in india as its
Parade Ambassador, the first of its kind parade
where 101 five-foot elephants painted by
celebrated artists were on display at the Gateway
of India. Elephant Family together with Wildlife
Trust of India to create 101 safe corridors for
elephants to preserve their habitat for which they
will use the funds generated from the auctions.
The Parade had support of The Prince of Wales
and The Duchess of Cornwall as its Royal Patrons.
Providing free legal aid to women of the
constituency with voluntary support from a
group of lawyers.
Santacruz. The Chaata avails multiple
environment friendly facilities like rainwater
conservation & its conversion to potable
drinking water, portable mobile charging
points, solar energy conservation.
Successfully completing the long-pending work
of gas pipelines for societies in the vicinities of
Saki Vihar, Nahar, Powai, Chandivali MHADA, JB
Nagar, Santacruz, Kalina, Bandra East, Bandra
West and Kurla east areas of the constituency.
Dedicated a fully-equipped Mobile AC Toilet Van
for women of my constituency.
Dedicated bio-toilets for women at the SV Road,
Hill Road and Bandstand areas in Bandra West.
These toilets are fully equipped & have proved to

ambit of Pradhan Mantri National

Govt. for its implementation on Central
Ministry's advice.
Providing free ambulance service
across Mumbai and Maharashtra to
the residents of my constituency.
Dedicated free service of “Pushpak Rath”-
a customized truck that is used during the
funeral processions by the citizens of the
constituency.
Provided 40 trolley-cum stretchers for
patients that are used by citizens of the
c o n st i t u e n c y t o ava i l t h e i r s w i f t
movement from the small lanes towards
the ambulances.

Resolving the long pending issue of
Rehabilitation of citizens residing on the
Airport land together with Govt of
Maharashtra. This will be the biggest ever
rehabilitation project covering 80,000
homes in Mumbai.
First set of keys of houses has been
distributed at the hands of CM Shri
Devendra Fadnavis ji to residents of Kranti
Nagar & Sandesh Nagar. These citizens are
being given houses in the HDIL's premiere
project in its 1st phase.
For the 2nd phase, Airport Authority of
India has allotted 65 acres of land for
rehabilitation of citizens on in-situ basis in
the vicinity areas of Santacruz and Vile
Parle.
Rehabilitated 345 families of the
Savera Co-operative Housing Society in
Kurla by providing them with
permanent houses together with the
Govt of Maharashtra.
Government Schemes
Under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana,
adopted Charoti & Waghadi villages of
Palghar district. A detailed survey was
conducted and a village development
plan was made. In past 3 years, the
villages have witnessed development in
the fields of infrastructure, water,
sanitation, education, healthcare,
electricity, sports facilities, etc. Also 2
training centres are setup in association
by Ms Anita Dongre to train women with
tailoring skills and empower them with
self-employment.
Safeguarded Citizens under various
Central Govt's social security schemes
where 8000 people registered in
Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri
Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojana (PMJJBY)
and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima
Yojana (PMSBY).
Made provisions for distribution of
26,000 LED bulbs at subsidized rates to
the citizens of the constituency under
the UJALA Yojana by Govt of India.
Supporting the call from Hon. Prime
Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, 14,000
families of the constituency
surrendered their subsidized gas
connections while participating in the
Union Govt's "Give It Up" scheme.
POLICY MAKING
Initiated the rehabilitation of residents
residing on 3 Bangla Rahiwasi Sangh, Bandra
East jointly with the Ministry of railways
and Govt. of Maharashtra. Biometric survey of
the land is slated to begin shortly.
Requested the Ministry of Railways
fo r B i o m e t r i c S u r v e y o f v i c i n i t i e s i n
Kranti Nagar & Sable Nagar, Kurla East for the
redevelopment of the buildings.
Requested the Ministry of Defence to
rehabilitate 12,000 families living in slums
on 35 acres area at Hanuman Tekdi, Dawri
Nagar and Maratha Colony areas of Bandra
(East). Biometric survey of 95% houses has
been completed by SRA and Govt.
Resolution has been issued where the
State govt & Central govt. will allocate land
o n 5 0 - 5 0 % b a s i s t o c o m p l e te t h e
rehabilitation.
Rehabilitation of citizens residing in
Government Colony, Bandra east is being
implemented where 12 acres of land has
been reserved by the Government of
Maharashtra. This project will benefit 2500
families where the tenants have to pay Rs.
2000/Sq.ft.
Organised “Mumbai Next” in February,
2015; an initiative to transform Mumbai
into an International Financial Services
Centre (IFSC).

bridges, additional ticket counters, escalators,
ATM-type ticket machines, lifts for senior
