May, 13 and the application
form  can  be downloaded
from  the  official  website  of
the  party.
It is  mandatory  for  the

dentials  along  with  the  ap­
plication  form. Moreover
submission  of  formal  appli­
cation  is  mandatory  for  the
reserve  seats of  women
and  minorities.
The three­member
parliamentary board will
scrutinize  the  application
and will  summon candi­
dates for  interview. The
successful  candidates  fol­
lowing  interview  will  be
awarded  the  party  ticket.

India are signatory to the treaty but
regretted that New Delhi is violat-
ing it. He said that Pakistan was in-
volved in the dispute resolution
mechanism in the World Bank but
lamented the matter has not been
sorted out. He said that Pakistan
desired that the Indus Water Treaty
remains intact and its dispute reso-
lution mechanism moves forward.
The spokesperson reiterated that
Pakistan desires better relations
with India. Responding to a ques-
tion, he said that Pakistan has con-

the river Jhelum. Pakistan has re-
peatedly warned the World Bank
about its concerns. It is worth
mentioning here that World Bank
decades earlier had arbitrated the

distribution of water. The Indus
Water Treaty is an important inter-
national agreement that provides
an essential and co-operative pro-
cedure to India and Pakistan to
meet humanly needs of water and
development goals compared to

lenges.
In August 2016, Pakistan had
requested the World Bank to es-
tablish a court for checking the
designs of Kishan Ganga Dam
other projects, but India has re-
jected Pakistan’s proposal on tech-
nical grounds and had said that

Bank had stopped the working on
the projects so that both the coun-
tries could consider some alterna-
tive.

Rs 1.28, whereas the decrease
of 38 paisa was witnessed in
exchange rate of British Pound
which was traded at Rs
183.69 as compared to the last

the absence of any mechanism
or check and balance to con­
trol the price hike, the airlines
have been arbitrarily increas­
ing  the  airfares  on domestic
routes.
They added that the ex­
orbitant  hike  in the  air  fare
had badly caused anxiety
amongst the commuters par­
ticularly  the business  com­
munity who also frequently
travel on the domestic route
for promotion of  trade and
in dustrial  activities  in the
country.
