DESCRIPTION Y N COMMENTS
Surface preparation
A transparent adhesive tape test shall be performed in accordance with ISO
8502-3 just prior to coating application. The maximum allowed degree of dust
is ISO 8502-3 class 2. Dust contamination above this level shall be removed.
The anchor profile shall be measured using Testex "Press-O-Film" Replication
Tape in accordance with NACE RP 0287-95. Tape shall be attached to report.
Oil, grease or other surface contaminants shall be removed by biodegradable
detergents or solvent cleaning
The residual chloride salt content shall be measured. The maximum allowable
chloride ion content is 10 μg/cm2 NaCl.
DESCRIPTION Y N COMMENTS
Wet film thickness (WFT) measurements shall be determined following the
procedure in ASTM D4414 Procedure A or ISO 2808 Method 1a. Frequency of
measurement of wet film thickness shall be at least one measurement (three
individual readings) per every half-hour of coating operation (per operator).
Cure of inorganic zinc primers shall be tested by burnishing the surface with a
coin or other blunt metal object. Properly cured inorganic zinc primers shall be
hard and take on a bright zinc metal appearance without chipping or flaking.
Inspection of inorganic zinc cure shall be performed once per 10 m².
Coating shall be dry, clean and free of dry spray before dry film thickness
measurements are made.
Dry Film Thickness (DFT) shall be measured, per SSPC-PA 2 or ISO 2808,
Method 6a, and recorded for each coat at the frequency stated in SSPC-PA-2.
At least one determination (i.e., 15 individual measurements) per coat shall be
made.
Approved DFT gauge is the Type 2 – constant pressure electromagnetic
probegauge in SSPC-PA 2.
DFT gauges shall be calibrated at the beginning and end of each work shift
according to manufacturer’s calibration procedure.
The average of the spot measurements for each 10 m2 area shall not be less than
the minimum thickness specified in ASTM D4414 Procedure A or ISO 2808
Method 1a. No single spot measurement in any 10 m2 area shall be less than
80% of the specified minimum thickness.
DESCRIPTION Y N COMMENTS
The average of the spot measurement measurements for each 10 m2 area shall
not be more than the specified maximum thickness. No single spot
measurement in any 10 m2 area shall be more than 120% of the specified
maximum thickness.

ting Operations
Mix design for each proposed mix as well as its Trial Mixes shall conform to the
requirements as outlined in ITP-0005. Grout material for cold weather applications must be
approved by engineering design.
Submit the Tremie concrete and Grouting procedure indicating the sequence of operations to
be followed. Indicate the course of action to be adopted in the event of interruption of any
stage due to loss of concrete or grout into the formation or failure of batch plant or equipment.
The procedure shall include methods of measuring concrete and grout consistencies at all
stages.
Additional level checks shall be carried out as follows: • Before grouting starts • After
completion of grouting - IF APPLICABLE.
After insertion of the anchor pin KWS shall ensure that it is kept centralised and immobile
until concreting and grouting are completed following the approved procedures.
Cube samples shall be taken during concreting/grouting of each rock socket, jacket leg and
annulus. Samples shall be taken from the mixing tank only after attaining the required
density. Concrete/Grout density checks are to be made at the mixing tank.
24 hours compression test will be carried out by compression testing machine and the results
of these tests will be submitted to the Canaport LNG -IF APPLICABLE.
7 days and 28 days compression tests will be carried out at a shore based laboratory having
compression testing facilities. Such tests will be witnessed by certification agency. The exact
interval between pumping and testing shall be noted in each case.
Concrete and/or Grout strength shall be met as per jacket's pile assembly IFC drawing.
