This dissertation is the end of my journey in obtaining my M.Ed. Degree and writing this note of
thanks is the finishing touch on my dissertation. It has been a period of intense learning for me,
not only in the scientific arena, but also on a personal level. I would like to reflect on the people
who contributed in many ways to the success of this study and made it an unforgettable
experience for me.

First of all, I am extremely grateful to my esteemed research guide, Dr. Kanika Khare mam, for
her valuable guidance I received throughout the research work. Her sharp intellect coupled with
sound technical knowledge, professional skills, sincerity of purpose, high integrity and scholarly
inputs has made my research obstacle ridden. This feat was possible only because of the
unconditional support provided by mam.

In addition, I would like to thank Dr. Anita Khetal mam, Principal, K.C. Bajaj College of
Education, Post Graduate Department of Education for her initial support, guidance, dedication,
discipline and consistent encouragement. You definitely provided me with the tools that I needed
to choose the right direction and successfully complete my dissertation.

I would particularly like to single out Dr. Sheela Hiware (Bodhankar) mam and I want to thank
her for her excellent cooperation and timely guidance. She supported me greatly and was always
willing to help me.

No research is possible without the Library, the Centre of learning resources. I take this time to
express my sincere thanks to Mrs. Suhasini Nitnaware mam, the Librarian, K.C. Bajaj College
of Education, Post Graduate Department of Education for always extending her services and for
her kind and helping nature.

I also extend my gratitude to all the principals, management, staff and the respondents of the
schools who have helped me immensely in data collection.

I owe a lot to my Parents and Brother Mr. Mayank Jhalani, who encouraged and helped me at
every stage of my personal and academic life. I am very much indebted to my family, my
husband Mr. Ankit Agrawal, daughter Miss Nysha Agrawal, mother-in-law Mrs. Kavita
Agrawal (maa), father-in-law Mr. Gautam Agrawal, sister- in- law Miss Riya Agrawal, who
supported me in every possible way to see the completion of this work and longed to see this
achievement come true.

Above all, I owe it all to the Almighty God for granting me the wisdom, health and strength to
undertake this research task and enabling me to its completion. It will give me a sense of being
rewarded if this research work of mine proves useful in any way in the field of education.
